Is it possible to differentiate between speakers in a Dropbox AI transcript?
Hi, all--
I do a lot of online interviews and am trying to improve my workflow for processing them. I've tried Otter, Dropbox, Word 365, and probably others. I record the interview on Zoom, then upload the audio file. Dropbox transcription is super-easy to use with Zoom, and the transcriptions are more accurate than Word365, with fewer spurious breaks between phrases. BUT: It seems to lack a feature that is indispensable for me: Having the name of the speaker at the beginning of their comment. Word defaults to Speaker 1 and Speaker 2, then lets me change each to the person's real name. This is standard for professional transcripts.
Is there a setting or something that I can turn on in Dropbox/Capture so it captures and labels the changes in speaker? If not, is there a workaround? Or is the workaround "use a different program"?
I am on a MacBook Pro M4 running Sequoia.
TIA,

Hi Nathaniel C., thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Currently, there isn't a method using Dropbox to distinguish between different speakers during the transcription.
I'll leave this post open for other users to comment with their suggestions.
