I navigated to Dropbox\desktop and deleted that. How to restore?

got Dropbox because it was included with another product.  I never took trouble to configure thinking I'll do that when I need it.  Somehow it got tied to my Desktop.  I did not notice this for some ...

Have you checked inside your device's recycle bin to check for the folder there? 

 

Other than that, your account's deleted files page, and events page is a good way to start looking for these files.
