It sounds like you're referring to the feature called Dropbox Transfer. That's not meant as a way to transfer files between computers that you own. It's meant for sending files to other people.
If you just want to transfer files to another computer of yours, just sync the files on the first computer, then install Dropbox on the second comptuer and everything will sync to it. There are no file size or bandwidth limits when you sync files.
