hidden files
My dropbox is full and I'm told I need to upgrade. But I'd rather delete files to free up space. But all of a sudden, dropbox won't let me see any of the files/folders. I can't find them on my laptop or phone. How do I find them so I can delete them and free up space?

All of the files in your account can be seen on the Dropbox website, even if you're not syncing all files to your laptop.

That is actually not the case for me. I know I have a ton of older files that I want to delete but they are not listed, and there is no Recents tab. I found them on the Recents tab on my phone, but there was no option to delete them. This is incredibly frustrating. I feel like it's just another way for a company to force you to buy something.

It isnt a way for Dropbox to force you to buy things.
All your files will appear at www.dropbox.com/home. Everything that is on there and you are syncing are listed there. The other thing is you may have some at www.dropbox.com/backups if you activated that service,
And dont forget Shares use quota: www.dropbox.com/share.
