Deleting copies of photo

If I delete a photo in a folder and there is a copy of it in another folder, will both be deleted?

    Hi Petamo 

    No, only the one you delete will be removed. There isnt a link to files elsewhere.

      Thanks Mark…just double checking…that means that the second photo that is the same in another folder in Dropbox is safe???

      I am struggling at present sorting my folders…so many…and so many double…even triples of the same photo…to coin a phrase, it is ‘doing my head in’!!!!!

        Yes they are safe. 

        Dropbox has no link, at all, to files or folders in other locations. 

         

        If you want to test it just delete one and go check 🙂
