Can I change the order of the photos I've saved in a folder?
Hello all. Will try to keep this brief.
*I have a 2024 Dropbox folder for photos.
*I am taking photos on a camera (because I want to) then once a week, copy the photos into the dropbox folder.

It's just a folder of files like any other. Dropbox treats it the same way a folder of files on your computer would be treated. Sort order is determined by the column headers. The default sort order is by name. If sorting by name, the only way to change the order of the files is by changing the file names so they sort in the order you want. Other sorting methods include date modified, file type, size, etc.

Hi Rich, thank you for responding. I am still not getting anywhere with this. Imagine this; *I have 10 photos (copied from sd card in a camera) within a Dropbox folder *Someone sends me a photo on whatsapp, or I take one on my phone camera that I want to include, in DATE order in this folder *Why is it that the additional photos don't just go neatly into the date order with all the others? *When I transfer additional pics., sometimes it says 'do you want to transfer without the properties'? there is no other option. Of course at this point, you then lose the date etc. *My only option seems to call the photos a,b,c and then use 'name sort' but obviously there are only 26 letters and I will have a few hundred photos within this folder. *Unless I'm missing something, it seems Dropbox is very clunky with this. I am losing hours trying to sort this. Please be kind. I am 60 and didn't grow up with technology however, what I do have is patience and perseverance but I feel this should be far simpler than it appears. Could you try the above and see what happens with you? Also one quick question, despite having date format always set to dd/mm/yyyy in my Dropbox, it always adopts the American version. This is the first thing I need to reset, both with retrospective files/photos and going forward. Can you help me with this please?
