Scrolling folders in mobile app
It used to be that you could quickly access folders using the alphabet down the side in the mobile app. This has been changed. Now, if you tap any of the letters you are taken straight to the bottom ...

Hi Simonp0123, take your time!
Once you've tried uninstalling the app, let me know of the results and we'll take it from there. Thank you, Simon!

Hi Megan,
I’ve been a Dropbox user for several years and I’ve had this issue for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned a few phones over the last couple of years (latest iPhones) and always had this same issue.
It is surprising that this has not been resolved yet!
Just out of curiosity why not trouble shoot the step on your own device to confirm if this is a Dropbox issue rather than ask us to do so many trouble shooting steps?

- Simonp01232 years agoExplorer | Level 4Dropbox told me that this feature had been removed some time ago. It seems it is upto me to suggest to the relevant people that it be reinstated. I don’t know why this can’t be done by the person who contacted me from Dropbox! Talk about lazy! So, I have decided that I’m going to stop using Dropbox. I have started to transfer all my files into my OneDrive account. At least with this I am able to use a scroll bar to quickly locate the files I want. With OneDrive I have, effectively, 6TB of storage (though I have to use different email addresses, but this is only a minor detail) - much cheaper, and greater storage, than Dropbox.

Hey Rammi-Kanj, thanks for the nudge here and sorry to see you're having trouble with this.
After testing this on my own device, the feature does work for me, so you'll need to check a few things on your end.
Firstly, make sure you're on the latest version of iOS and the Dropbox app.
Also, the Dropbox app needs at least 50MB of free space on your phone (not your Dropbox) to work correctly.
And if that doesn't help, you can also tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache", to see if that helps.
Let me know how it goes!
- Rammi-Kanj2 years agoExplorer | Level 4Hi Hannah,
I’ve tried clearing the cache, same issue.
I have plenty of available space on the phone and both phone and app are on latest updates.
Please note I’ve had several devices over the past years, and had a few Dropbox accounts. This is not a new issue for me.
It would be great if we can get it fixed.- Hannah2 years agoDropbox Staff
Hey Simonp0123 and Rammi-Kanj, if you open the Dropbox app, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then you turn off the "Keep folders on top" option, does that help?
