You can download multiple folders at once, but they'll be compressed into a single Zip file and there's a limit to the size (250GB) and number of files (10,000) that the Zip can contain.
I'd pay to obtain all my files on an external SSD. We could do it via USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or whatever. I'd pay for the SSD.
Dropbox doesn't offer this service.
I want to keep the directory structure so I can access it, if necessary; and, so I can discard over the next 7-10 years.
Do you have the Dropbox application installed and syncing your files? If so, you have a local Dropbox folder that has all of your files in it. If you make sure they're all marked as Available offline (they display a solid green circle with a check mark), and you make sure all of your folders are selected in Selective Sync, then all of your files are already downloaded to your computer.
If this isn't the case, the easiest method to download everything and maintain your folder structure is to install the Dropbox application and allow it to sync all of your files down to your computer. Once the download is complete and you've verified that you have all of your data, simply move the entire content of the Dropbox folder to your storage of choice and all the content will be deleted from your account. You can then uninstall the application and cancel your subscription.
