Scrolling folders in mobile app
It used to be that you could quickly access folders using the alphabet down the side in the mobile app. This has been changed. Now, if you tap any of the letters you are taken straight to the bottom ...

Hey Rammi-Kanj, thanks for the nudge here and sorry to see you're having trouble with this.
After testing this on my own device, the feature does work for me, so you'll need to check a few things on your end.
Firstly, make sure you're on the latest version of iOS and the Dropbox app.
Also, the Dropbox app needs at least 50MB of free space on your phone (not your Dropbox) to work correctly.
And if that doesn't help, you can also tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache", to see if that helps.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi Hannah,
I’ve tried clearing the cache, same issue.
I have plenty of available space on the phone and both phone and app are on latest updates.
Please note I’ve had several devices over the past years, and had a few Dropbox accounts. This is not a new issue for me.
It would be great if we can get it fixed.

Hey Simonp0123 and Rammi-Kanj, if you open the Dropbox app, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then you turn off the "Keep folders on top" option, does that help?
- Simonp01232 years agoExplorer | Level 4Pardon my French, Hannah, but **bleep** me. That works! How simple is that! Thank you very much. I don’t even know what ‘keep folders on top’ means. Developers create a whole new language known to nobody else but themselves and us mere mortals have to try to figure out what the f they mean. I shall put you on my Xmas card list
- Rammi-Kanj2 years agoExplorer | Level 4Yes it works, thank you very much.
I’ve struggled for along time scrolling through 100’s of folders. I’ve Researched and couldn’t find a way to fix the issue. I’m sure you’ve got a lot of customers that have the same issue that have know idea how to fix it, just like me.
I suggest you default this strange setting to off so ppl can scroll like they ought to.
It is an extremely annoying feature to have on as default. Or at least make the scroll work while the feature is toggled on.- Hannah2 years agoDropbox Staff
