Hi joepdek, let's jump right into this!
In regards to downloading content there, you can either download your files manually using the web, or you can use the app to download and link the desktop app, and specifically the Dropbox folder to the new drive.
You can choose through the app's settings during set-up, where you wish to set-up your Dropbox folder. No need to transfer info from the old drive, unless you have had content that never synced online.
