Dropbox StaffTaking a look at the commit history for that third party library, I see that the last commit was in 2017, which was before the new functionality was added to the API, so it does not appear that library has been updated to use the new functionality.
Anyway, I can't offer insight on what factors went in to deciding what SDKs to build and support officially, but I'll pass this along as a feature request for an official PHP SDK. I can't promise if or when that might be implemented though.
