Download progress using HTTP or JavaScript?

Looks like the Java SDK has a progress listerner for downloads. Is there a way to get download progress updates in the JavaScript SDK or via the HTTP API? Perhaps there is a way to get a stream or a ...

    Aha! Problem resolved using get_temporary_link and my own download code using XMLHttpRequest.
