API Download Speed Limit
Hello there,
I have a Premium Plus plan and been using the dropbox API to download a couple of files, several times per week. They are around 20 zips with ~100GB in file size.
When I start to download these files after a long period without using the API, I get a 100MB/s download speed in the first one or two files.
Then, while I continue to download to the remaining files, the download speed progressively gets slower, and I end up with 1-5 MB/s of download. In the next day, I may start off at around 10-20MB/s, but it quickly drops again to 1-5 MB/s.
Is this download cap (after X GB downloaded) an expected behaviour? I couldn't find any reference to it. If so, do you mind sharing how and when these limitations occur?
Also, are there alternatives that can fix these speed limitations within the Dropbox paid plans?

The Dropbox API does not impose a speed limit/cap, and this does not vary by plan.
Your connection speed to Dropbox depends on the routing you get between your ISP and our servers, and may be slower than your ISP's rated speeds. Sometimes resetting or retrying your connection gets you a different route and better speeds, but that is outside of our control. Some ISPs also throttle sustained connections so if you see an initial high connection speed followed by lower speeds, that could be the reason.
