Refunds
413 TopicsHaven't received my prorated refund after joining a Dropbox team
My Dropbox Plus subscription was automatically canceled after being accidentally merged with a Dropbox team account. I have not yet received a refund of $105.43 for this canceled subscription. Could you please assist me with this issue or let us know how much time it will take to refund? I would also appreciate it if you could help revert my subscription back to Dropbox Plus.35Views0likes3CommentsI've been charged for 3 years, and need a refund.
Is this company a scam or what i have been charged for 3 years for this and i cant get any answers from this company they just keep charging me every year i want a refund Dropbox Plan N/A Payment Method N/A How did you upgrade? N/A67Views0likes7CommentsI'm being charged even though I only have free Dropbox accounts
I have three different accounts throughout the years and have never paid for an upgraded account. Suddenly this year, on Feb 10, 2025, I was charged via PayPal for a paid Dropbox account. I immediately checked all three accounts and they were indeed still free and basic. One account had over the 2GB storage but that was because of a supervisor sharing things with me but I thought I was only accessing the files through her links and not my account. I've tried filing a review on Feb 12, 2025 with Dropbox and they just sent me an automated email that they don't correspond that way with free accounts. I wanted to contact Dropbox to figure out where the account is that I was charged for but I have no way of contacting them because I only have free accounts! I did not follow up with PayPal because their automated system directed me to contact PayPal directly and then I got swamped in graduate school - hence the months of delay. Any help would be deeply appreciated. The charge on PayPal was from support-paypal@dropbox.com so it looked legitimate. That email came back with this message (which is how I got here finally today): "Thank you for contacting Dropbox Support. We appreciate your message. However, please note that this email address is not monitored by our support team. To receive the assistance you need, we recommend visiting our Help Center or engaging with our Community. The Help Center offers a wealth of articles and guides covering various topics, while the Community allows you to connect with fellow Dropbox users for shared insights and solutions. You may also have access to email support dependant on your plan type, you can check out Contact support for more info."32Views0likes1CommentI've been charged multiple times by Dropbox
Hello Dropbox has tried (and managed) to invoice me multiple times. I have tried to cancel it from the setting but to no avail !!! The Here are the references of the payments that were made from my credit card: [Removed as per Community Guidelines] E32Views0likes2CommentsDouble-billed out of the blue, apparently for 19 months.
Dropbox Plan Plus Payment Method Credit Card Question or Issue In reviewing my credit card statements, I have learned that I have been double-billed by Dropbox since February 2024. I have an annual subscription which I renew every April. In February 2024, monthly payments also began to appear on my credit card bill in the amount of $17.91 Canadian. This is an overpayment of $340.29 (so far). I attempted to submit a request on your form for a refund, but unfortunately, despite prompting me for a "postal code" (which suggests you know I live in Canada), your refund form requires me to enter digits only for my postal code -- which is impossible to do, because Canadian postal codes are alphanumeric. In reviewing community posts, it appears double-billing is a common occurrence. I would like this resolved, now, with a full refund. Thank you.55Views0likes2CommentsCancelled my trial but dropbox renewed it automatically and is now trying to charge me.
I cancelled my trial and dropbox cancelled it. They even sent me email proof as you can see. And then it automatically upgraded it on it's own. I'm attaching email proof of it. 3:41 I cancel, and right at 3:41 they upgrade it themselves almost automatically, and 3:58, which is when my trial would end, they try to charge me for it. Here's the email chain proof -79Views0likes3CommentsUnexpected charges on my credit card from an unknown account.
Hello, I am in the same situation of user Robert H.73 6 months ago (Discussion title: Fraudulent Credit Card charges?). I have a Basic Free account with Dropbox (3.75 GB), but on [removed by moderator], I was charged [removed by moderator] with a 12-digit reference number [removed by moderator] I checked the transaction information, and it relates to the account registered with [email removed as per Community Guidelines], which is not mine. There were two additional attempts to charge my card on 20/07/2025, but they didn't succeed because I locked my card. Would somebody at Dropbox please contact me asap at my registered email address to solve this issue and be refunded?Solved215Views0likes6CommentsCharged annually for Dropbox Plus and also Monthly through Apple Pay
Hi - I pay an annual subscription for Dropbox Plus that is billed through Dropbox. I've recently discovered I've been charged through Apple Pay for $11.99 also for Dropbox Plus. However, when I've contacted Dropbox support (twice), they are unable to help me because I do not have a "transaction ID" on my bank Statements. I contacted Apple Pay, and they were able to refund two months and said that Dropbox should refund the rest. Has anyone else had this problem?908Views1like6Comments
