When I export, and then upload camera uploads, they're duplicated under the "Photos" tab.
Hello, the “camera uploads” function is turned on, and I tried to make those automatically uploaded photos (which under “photo”) into another folder which named with time sequence/or name of event. However, every time when I selected those photos (under “photo”) which I want to put into folder A via exporting function, they will be duplicated afterwards under “photo”. Is there a way to avoid the duplicated case?! Or is there other way to properly categorize the photos (under “photo” tab) into other folders?! Thanks!
File size display completely wrong on Dropbox.com
Long-time user here with Dropbox Advanced account. Dropbox has an article on how to view file sizes online: https://help.dropbox.com/storage-space/file-size Here is the problem: • I have folders filled with files that appear as "--" on the list (no size) — this is wrong • I have one folder with more than 2 GB inside of it that appears as ">527.41 KB" on the list — obviously false and misleading • There are other folders with similarly misleading sizes Given that I have hundreds of folders, you can see how this file size functionality is completely useless, because the user either can't trust it, or can't see the size of the folder. Can you kindly fix this bug?
Getting an error when recovering a subfolder of a team folder
Hello. Dropbox team folder is in use. I accidentally moved the subfolder inside the team folder to another location on desktop while using the desktop explorer, and it says I don't have permission to recover it again. What should I do in this situation?
Audio transcription malfunction, hard line breaks partway across every line
Recently when I have copied .wma audio transcripts from Dropbox to a Word document, the text inserts a hard line break on every line of the page about 2/3 horizontally across the page, with breaks landing in mid sentence. It never used to do this. The previous transcription format wasn't all that great either, and needed a certain amount of cleanup, but this latest glitch makes the transcribed text almost impossible to work with. Needless to say this is very annoying, as I use the transcript feature a lot. Could this problem please be addressed?
Moving files via the web interface is glacially slow - how to fix?
Hi: I'm trying to use the web interface to move pictures out of the "Camera uploads" folder and into a holding folder for later sorting. There are around 3k images that I would like to move, but the web interface returns an error along the lines of "that's too many files to move". That seems dumb (3k files isn't an unreasonably large number), but whatever. The real problem occurred when I tried to move the files in batches. I selected around 800 and tried to move them - I waited at least 10 mins before I gave up. As far as I can tell, no files were moved. Why is this and is there any fix other than moving the files using file explorer and then letting the changes sync to the web? I have 10,000 subfolders with unique numeric names. I need to sift out 1000 of these subfolders into a shared folder. The list of these 1000 folders is in an Excel (or .csv) file. Is there a Dropbox automation that will move or copy the correct subfolders into the shared folder based on the Excel list?
How to make Dropbox invisible in File Explorer?
Hi I successfully moved my Dropbox folder to the D folder because I often accidentally moved files to DB. Now it is safely in place; not always visible when opening explorer. The problem now is that it still appears as a folder under the desktop. Properties shows the folder location as D drive. . If I hide the folder, it also hides the DB folder on D. Can anyone advise how to hide or delete this folder while keeping the D drive directory?
