How to deal with new Dropbox Paper files after migration and locate them?
I am so confused right now. Prior to the upgrade, I had created folders within Dropbox paper so all of my documents are in those folders. I can see those folders within the "Migrated Paper Docs" folder in Dropbox. But when I open the Paper website or the app on my phone, I can't see any of those folders. In theory, I can search for any document that's in those folders, but I want to be able to browse through the folders. I also tried moving the folders from the Migrated folder into the "Paper Docs" folder but nothing happened and I still couldn't see or browse through those folders. On the Paper website, one can now create 'Sections' and move docs into Sections but I have no idea what the use of that is because after creating one, I can't see them within the App. I have no idea what I am supposed to do now to organize this mess. Far too many issues to list here. Apart from the chaotic disaster of non-migrated and missing files, last year images disappeared in my Paper App for several months, despite the "specialist engineering team looking into it" (what a joke). The lastest fiasco is that links do not work across all of my Paper files in the App (the desktop version is fine). Could someone (serious) at Dropbox please inform your incredibly tolerant, long-suffering subscribers what on earth is going on? If the App is to be discontinued, which would appear to be the case judging by the fact that it has been abandoned (no updates since Version 262.2 over two years ago) could someone at least have the courtesy to let us know so we can stop paying for a ditched product and look for alternatives? This message is not intended to be disrespectful, quite simply like many of your users I have now completely run out of patience with this intolerable situation.
"In one week: Paper docs are moving to your Dropbox" but they haven't.
On December 13, 2024, I received an email from Dropbox stating, ‘In one week: Paper docs are moving to your Dropbox.’ However, this has not happened. Instead, when I click the ‘Download docs you created’ button on paper.dropbox.com, I no longer receive an email with a download link as I used to. Why isn’t Paper working as expected? ...Tobias
Missing folders and Paper docs after migration
For many years I have used Dropbox paper. Made hundreds of folders and papers. Now I have only 10 or so in my migrated section. First of all I had no idea something was about to happen. Maybe I missed mails? I have used paper recently without an issue or a notice that I should do something really quick! Now I have no Idea where to find my files. I have a folder 'Gemigreerde paper documenten' (Dutch) and there is not even 1% of my files. We are working in a team and maybe a college did the migration and I can't see them now? I find this update very disturbing! So dropbox, how can I get them back? Where are they? Thanks!
After Paper “migrated”, my folders are a mess
Hi! So some time ago Dropbox “migrated” my paper docs and put everything into one huge pile. Moreover, I used a system of folders with my writing partner — we're working on a book together, and everything pertaining to that book was stored inside a “folder”, probably not physical because everything was in the cloud. Now weird things happen. If I try and search my book documents from my Dropbox account, I get nothing. If she sends me a link to one of those documents, yes I can see the document, and that it is shared with me, and that there's still a “book” folder. But if I want to find that folder on my Dropbox, I can't do that. And if I want to add a new Paper document there (like a new interview), there's no way to do that. It gets even weirder. She sent me her screenshots. When she makes a new document, there's an option under documents name that says “Add to folder”. Also, her address line in browser is paper.dropbox.com — but when I do that, that option says Paper Docs, when I click on it, it does nothing, and when I enter paper.dropbox.com it autoredirects me to dropbox.com/paper I'm stuck. We're both on latest macOs. Any ideas here?

Hi! I was an active user of Dropbox Paper for many years and I have many important documents stored there. Previously, there was a keyword search function in search for the entire contents of all files. After the latest change, the search only searches by document name. If there is an alternative way to search or the feature was disabled permanently (but why?).
Dropbox Paper completely disappeared from new UI
I've been using Dropbox Paper since it first came out. I just noticed now the UI of Dropbox paper has been updated. However, now when I go to the Paper home, none of my papers show up. None. The entire page is empty. I did noticed that I now have a "migrated paper" folder in the main Dropbox UI. I can open this folder and access my old papers. However, why wouldn't my old paper be listed in the Paper UI? Another thing that's completely missing is shared paper folders. My partner and I have a shared paper folder. The shared folder was created by him and shared with me. I cannot find any reference to this paper folder in my Dropbox UI. Not the new Paper UI, not the main Dropbox UI. I tried to search for documents in this shared folder, and they showed up in the search result. When I click on the shared doc, Dropbox takes me to the OLD Dropbox Paper UI. What? Makes no sense! My partner's account doesn't seem to have migrated to the new Paper UI yet. When he logs into Dropbox paper he still sees the old UI. Is this ever going to get fixed? That's just insane product behavior. I'm a product designer in the enterprise world. Even in the darkest corners of enterprise product, we would never allow behavior like this. That would be a release blocker. What's going on Dropbox?Paper by Dropbox to be discontinued?
I'm seeing a number of posts across social media speculating that Dropbox Paper is to be discontinued. As there has been no Paper by Dropbox app update for 2+ years (since Version 262.2), and because of general user discontent regarding the infamous 2020 update, this rumour seems to be gathering momentum. Could somebody confirm what we should expect (and when) before I start scouting for alternative platforms? Many thanks!
