I’m switching from Loom to Dropbox capture, but I have a library of useful videos made with Loom. I’d like to be able to upload them or any video captured in a different way to Dropbox capture.1.6KViews0likes5CommentsCapture update
Thank you for being a valued Dropbox Capture user. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to discontinue Dropbox Capture on March 24th. Please note that you’ll still be able to use the screenshot tool through the Dropbox desktop app. After March 24th, you will no longer be able to create new screen recordings, audio clips, GIFs, or videos using Capture. The Capture desktop app—and Capture via web access—will no longer be available. Good news: We’re continuing to add new screenshot functionality within the Desktop app. On March 24th, you will be able to use the screenshot tool to capture the exact part of the screen you want to send. You will be able to add extra emphasis to your screenshots with text, shapes, drawings, and arrows. We understand that your content is important, so know that you will not be losing any of your existing Capture images and videos. To learn more about this change, please read this article.359Views0likes23CommentsDropbox capture: we need to keep it active
I never comment in forums, but the recent announcement of discontinuing dropbox capture was disappointing the very least. We gone into great lengths in training out team in using this user friendly tool, that we strongly believe Dropbox should reconsider.105Views6likes3CommentsWhat’s new: October product updates

I've just downloaded and installed latest build of Dropbox capture from https://www.dropbox.com/capture/install-apple-silicon on my Apple M2 Pro and when I try to open I get “Dropbox Capture.app” Not Opened Apple could not verify “Dropbox Capture.app” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy. Hey, I've been using Dropbox Capture to feedback on a project. I love the idea of quickly sharing a video like that. There is one problem though - I cannot reliably record a screen capture with voice - the video will randomly skip and buffer, corrupting the recorded video - in effect I'm loosing time, because I have to re-record. It's very frustrating. I'm on Windows and the most recent version of Capture v116.3.0 Tried reinstalling, clearing cache, tried disabling audio enhancements in Windows audio settings as well. I would love to use this feature daily, but at this point it's pointless - is there any fix to the issue?46Views0likes7CommentsHow do I disable Dropbox Capture and still save my screenshots to my account?
The title says it all. Dropbox capture is the worst "upgrade" I have ever encountered. It adds extra steps to my workflow and is utterly useless to me. I simply want my screen shots to save to my drop box screenshot directory How do I do this? I cannot find the actual directory to which the screen shots are saved to. I can change the screen shot destination easily from the command lineSolved65Views0likes2CommentsHow to switch from .png to .jpeg when screenshot saves to Dropbox
Hello, Dropbox community I am a big fan of Dropbox Caption and use it on a daily basis. I would like to know if there is a way to change the format of captured screenshots? I would like to have them saved as a jpeg. Please let me know if it is possible P1.4KViews3likes4CommentsDropbox Capture — no “Select All,” or bulk actions other than delete?
Okay, I have a number of existing videos from Capture (fortunately, only 15, considering the below points) and I’d like to start organizing them. Now, you would think: There would be a way to select them all at once. Nope, I have to click the check box on each video. That using the “+ Create collection” button after selecting multiple selected videos would make a new collection containing those videos. Nope. Perhaps instead, a “Move to...” button to put them in an existing collection. Nope. Literally the only thing I can with a selection of multiple videos is to deselect them or delete them. To add insult to injury, if I select “Add to collection” on an individual video, the popup window default view is to have my company's folder open by default, which means that if I need to either close that or scroll to the bottom of the list in order to put it into one of my own collections. That wouldn’t be the end of the world if I only had to do it once for a bulk action, but I have to do it for EVERY video, one at a time. I hope that I’m wrong, and that someone will tell me where the actual functions are hidden. Thanks in advance...1.4KViews0likes2Comments
