109 TopicsCan I change the order of the photos I've saved in a folder?
Hello all. Will try to keep this brief. *I have a 2024 Dropbox folder for photos. *I am taking photos on a camera (because I want to) then once a week, copy the photos into the dropbox folder. *I have the sort set up to 'date order'. *Quite often I want to change the order of the photos within the Dropbox folder and/or add a photo into the folder that someone has sent me on whatsapp, or that I have taken on my phone. *These phone photos just land in a heap at the end of my Dropbox folder and don't automatically go in to date order. *Also, Dropbox doesn't allow me to simply drag some photos into a different place. (I have tried changing dates on photos, but it just gets ignored). I'm sure there is a very simple solution to the above, which I look forward to as I'm not that computer literate. Hope the above makes sense; when I put this query into Google, it seems to just ignore my actual question.193Views0likes2CommentsUsing AI to sort and search my photos
Hi, it's 2024 . IA is here. Please, scan all my photo and suggest something to sort them or help me find what I need. I have a Folder "Camera Uploads"with more than 30 000 photos from my phone. It is impossible to sort them or search them or even to navigate in the folder. Ex : I want to find the photo in a night market in china . It takes seconds within the Iphone. It is impossible on dropbox except if the photo is named "night market china" (spoiler : it isn't) . So Dropbox is good to save the pictures but barely usable to use/search for them . Please do something939Views3likes4CommentsProper sorting for UUID on the Dropbox site
Hi, I need to handle thousands of files and folders that start with UUID. UUID is not currently sorted as it should be. So, it takes time to find files/folders. For example, I would like to see UUID in the following order: 0021AF56-9F58-45F1-9A2C-B1772304B7DB 035B7E83-0127-4385-8227-1805D9A702A4 0A5D3B19-2960-4413-BCCD-1D8979B7F10B 0BC6C3DE-7B65-4F6A-B72B-BDE9F1F81C8E 0F014C98-DBFE-4F01-81F0-9E4AA7162594 0F356A9A-C341-4FA0-8D15-E7B35E4F208A 101280E5-7D2D-4B5E-8734-0594BDB55CFA 16226027-13D7-41FC-ADB8-21FF19F1A2E5 166EE639-11A5-4149-9535-89B781D443A4 193C2291-92DB-4B18-9DEB-8ECAFBA94ADF 1C50FDBC-1C05-4CC7-8931-EB197BC9EADB 1DFAC113-C45A-4ABF-B5C3-C19169E4B19B 1F1E855C-B068-4A18-830F-80C297790462 224F9D3A-B2A8-498A-B2CB-DE4DAA863418 2299D7D6-58C4-4278-933F-9C6E3A17F988 247ADC0E-30AB-4A95-9716-87C72810D7FF 2F250131-95A3-44BC-B426-39A752C28D7C 32280B79-9F58-4B58-89CA-9976387DFB0E 36ECF521-AB56-4C28-AD51-8FCF20646075 36FED04A-859F-4C7E-91B6-E4025E6CF18C 423171B8-BB40-4090-9618-81A5AD27E168 4253A1F1-6605-44EB-B0EC-D05A3CD4F217 44206AD1-C69B-47D4-A9F7-1A703F817A19 48D1DFAC-A28B-40F8-A267-D610193A884A 4BA0C494-2B0C-4C17-A8A0-3B96A6A0B133 4CCB5654-8821-422D-BDDD-C66A9564930A 4D6896E2-3138-4C69-A881-9A09A639918C 50DBA874-D80B-482C-86EE-93F51A7EED9B 561B85C9-CFBA-4E11-9A12-85D03F517756 5712A9B8-95FF-4233-BC02-7E19C81B8A54 5A4A5732-F3D0-45D2-B61D-2DA713CA9A16 6081280A-4CA6-4A5C-AC40-587DD80C65C7 6185AFEA-66AE-42F1-BD24-7B784AB1F011 62918419-62E5-48C6-9F74-2F2CA3B78DB1 632B1EC4-6D7D-4EA3-B75A-FAC562F3DC61 651580BF-0C6C-4A0D-BF24-4B00A8D2B712 656F2037-E7A6-46AA-9541-0D863AB3AB35 6756B47E-486C-4FFC-875C-AABA03E80CA5 6AC0C7AA-582B-4A49-AB2C-57E070BD5C42 6AFEA497-7863-455E-9252-5C16CC4A3FAD 6E281325-8C07-4C32-B67D-65EDC7C1D3F9 717650DE-C642-4DE1-95B4-A836D8D5DBA8 71BA520E-05DE-45C7-B770-3FFACB2E2047 73955B1B-4123-4FE0-91B6-7974EA9E36BD 75BD84C9-05DA-4C3F-A362-9B2A8CB7FFBD 789601BF-2483-42FA-995F-16B269FD8B1C 79B2BD5A-9D80-42A6-9E96-7DEC454AC35A 7ADE5EE9-6ED3-4549-8AA0-51268BF63DC2 7C07C177-A8B8-4A87-BA0D-6FE0594B1714 7CC74E20-053C-4E63-99A7-220759AE2D36 7ED9CBEF-6D15-4C79-91B8-826BEE4E3C94 802A603E-532C-4691-A5F6-69F2CAC7B5BE 81B4E893-B670-456D-9730-28B4D436A494 821BCD08-3806-484B-BEE9-779AA7858BEA 83520212-9450-4EDF-BEC5-F60626C53636 83CD6C28-BE7E-45CF-997D-0AC1E952C23C 8429B260-3030-4C7C-9418-3485F27AC918 85607345-B454-4297-B629-E1A289641CF8 8623D450-86EB-4B8D-BBB4-807C6E41B2DE 870250E1-C7ED-4C09-B7CD-C3BD00CC0E84 899D425C-917B-4175-A7BD-09F6376D39DB 90DBDA71-4655-490C-9A3B-C015987A2658 93B38EAF-B731-44BE-A518-A4485F260FFC 94DD9B12-B9A6-46F9-A9B6-914F4142949F 9D778EE1-CE34-48C5-B64E-F3A42B9380A0 A001DB7C-D9B4-46E8-A6AE-B6E3F44D3A05 A0FF0E57-2C9D-4F78-9D7E-D74B5D64E4EC A878BBE9-BA7B-4983-93A0-6DD37F29F48E A8D9592D-B088-4D72-A757-73F8B98383DE A9C2D7C9-F549-4C07-8D3D-EB5C06FB8436 AB065105-A748-4F1B-90AF-F355AEB210D8 ABF8E44F-DF72-4B5E-A69A-5D02A5DE07D0 AD6EC207-4D37-436F-AF55-314759805DE6 B34AB61A-50B6-4F60-80A2-A9DBC59E0642 BCD31805-A001-4B00-99A6-88577B81816E BFA77C4B-2F22-488C-BF2A-646B24EA8A26 BFD69CB4-7E8E-4D52-A165-58FF00B7D11D C23B8C84-21AE-4B9A-AF68-3F4E999122DE C28E4002-A589-4438-A06D-7006C96C8D50 C5D35E1B-DA19-4EC1-98CB-42F3DF825D5B C986E395-E07E-4340-87D9-9D6FAB2E3D77 CC82ADD6-9EBF-4ABA-B561-37E944383870 D1142AF6-BBC1-431C-B909-468244BD256C D8BE2C16-542B-4510-ADD1-E39A2D839241 D8F17510-7F5B-481D-81E6-E45160D09A3E DC1E1A22-BCD7-4DBF-9A78-371ED456D6B1 E0226FCA-40EB-43A8-A1C8-5EF5978A8EDA E05789B0-A3AF-4084-8035-3DE75E15CC61 E19DA578-3C2A-4ACA-8A45-2C043AD7CF52 E1EE3ECE-F2A0-4917-9FF5-F0CCBBDC563C E67F5D2D-8CE4-467F-9214-A5826BF86E8D E87F47CC-9C58-496E-B785-81B224BEEA0A E900894B-04A7-48D0-9469-B7DB5053C52C EC06354B-6BA1-4BE3-AE66-1A2883C39175 EF1918F9-0C64-4A6E-927F-805646D22F8A EF9D1E4C-597A-41A3-906F-2E1CCA3393A3 FC09512E-6640-4322-B6A5-CF5713591AD1 FDD3258D-284E-41E9-9774-E0BD5CB2D53F But, with Dropbox, does something like: Amazon S3 sort these folder properly. With Windows File Explorer, the ascending order doesn’t work for UUID as well, but Windows has an option to change the behavior: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-numerical-sorting-in-file-explorer-in-windows-11.9030/ If you enable this option, UUIDs are sorted properly. UUID should be sorted properly like Amazon S3 by default. If not, there should be an option to make it right with an option like Windows. The Photos Folder is not a useful tool if we are not able to decide what shows up there. I am using Dropbox to back up a Mac, so photos that are on my Mac are in those backups and also stored in other folders on Dropbox. Therefore, in the Photos Folder there are duplicate copies of each of those photos. I cannot delete either as they are on Dropbox for different purposes - one as a backup and one as part of my photo organization system in Dropbox. Without the ability to hide photos from my Photos Folder, I will need to find another way to organize my photos.24KViews45likes22CommentsDropbox changes the modification and creation dates on all folders on the desktop app.
This is a problem since I cannot locate the most recent folders out of thousands easily. I use Drive for other backup items and it doesn't change my dates. Please fix this issue. I've seen others on the Community requesting the same fix.293Views0likes4CommentsHow to sort files within a folder
Does anyone know how to move picture locations within a dropbox file folder? For example, if I wanted to move the location of a photo from the beginning to the end of the file. There does not appear to be any kind of drop and drag capability.208Views0likes2CommentsI want some color options for "☆" stars on the mobile app
I would like to change the color of "☆". It's very dissapointing that the stars that were previously blue are now black... I wish I could choose the color of the stars. If I can usethe stars having a different color, it will beeasier to categorizefiles and folders, especially photos. Depend on people who are in photos, I want markfavorite photos by defferent colours. For example, 「red→my partner, blue→families, yellow→friends, green→colleagues」, etc. Colourful stars will make starring more useful and pleasant, so I will use Dropbox app more frequently and recommend this app to many people.1.4KViews4likes4Comments
