I used to be able to initiate a "Request Files" by right clicking on the file I wanted the documents to go into. This is more efficient that having to go to the web version, as I 99.9% work out of the File Explorer on my PC. Please bring back the option to "Request Files" in the right click menu.2.9KViews7likes31CommentsRemove "Login/SignUp" Dialog box from shared link download
Currently, when I send a client a link to download a file using the Dropbox share file functionality, they are directed to a preview page. When they click the Download button, they are presented with a dialog box prompting them to sign in or sign up for Dropbox. At the bottom of this dialog box, in text that more closely resembles a legal disclaimer, they are given the option to download without signing up. As a paid user, I cannot entertain this dark UI feature. If I need to provide clients with an instruction manual on how to work around a dark UI feature, then it makes me look really cheap and really hacky. Not only does it make me look bad, but it's also a really nasty look for the Dropbox brand.41Views2likes3CommentsLimiting access to shared folders/files for view/download only
When a person who is requesting access to a file/folder through Dropbox, you need to enable the person who is approving the access request to be able to limit that access to view/download only. Now approvals include edit capability which is not necessarily what the owner of the folder wants to do. The person requesting access may not know the difference between edit access and view/download access. This is particularly important when an owner of a folder of pictures wants to share those pictures but does not want give other's the ability to remove photos from the folder and only wants others to be able to view the pictures and download what they want without removing the picture from the folder. Please email me if further clarification is needed. Regards, Ron52Views2likes3CommentsDoes the file request upload size limit affect trial plans?
The documentation states the following, but despite multiple attempts to upload a 250GB file through the file request feature, it consistently results in an error and the upload does not complete. Since we are currently conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) and using the Dropbox Business Plus Trial plan, could this limitation be due to the trial version? Customers on Dropbox Professional, Essentials, Business, Business Plus, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise can receive files up to 250GB in size. I have been trying for a couple of days to create a new file request but it's not working. Once you click 'Create' the thinking spinning wheel never completes. Tried different folders, tried over multiple days. Google Chrome. nothing... It wont let me link to a screenshot sorry9Views0likes1CommentHow to show a folder for team members in file explorer
Hi all, I promise I have been trying to figure this out from the community, but still can't work it out. A project folder was moved from one location in File Explorer to the other - all good and was fine last time I checked.Someone has since renamed it, but again, seemed to be all good. Now no one in the team (12 of us) can find it on File Explorer - it's disappeared and no one knows why and is worried it's been deleted. I thought let me have a look on Dropbox to see if it's still there - it iss. Phew. But now I can't work out how to get it back. A normal project folder which we can all see looks like this in Dropbox on the 'who can access / modified' side: The problem folder has the above 3rd icon missing 'open in file explorer': Any help appreciated, thank you!131Views0likes3CommentsFrom Musicians to Beginners, There's a Community Just for You!

There is a folder that our band members use to sync songs, images, lyrics, etc. It recently turned up completely empty for all of us, on our devices and on dropbox.com. None of us remembers having done anything, let alone having deleted everything. What can we do to get our files back? Best regards, Alex91Views0likes15Comments
