Lost my account and files
I was trying to log in yesterday through mobile app but I was directed to sign up. I tried reseting my password instead. After successfully resetting my password, it turned out to be a new account with welcome message and product tour. All my information details, profile photo are gone and plans was back into 2gb storage and all my stored files was gone. Empty account! I had received this message to my junk folder from Dropbox -This a reminder that the Buddy team is still in locked state. If Buddy is still in locked state after October 16, 2024, the entire team, which includes all files, and admin and member accounts will be deleted permanently. I was traveling and when I returned I had found out that all my 10 years worth of business files have been deleted. Does anyone know how I can get this restored? They legally have to keep files for 30 days. This is going to cause me significant issues, I am hoping someone can help.
How do I access my missing photos?
I have the 'Basic Plan' of 2.0GB. I have been informed by Dropbox that I have used 2.09GB of my 2.0GB storage, which is impossible......! Because of this, the photos from my phone have stopped syncing to Dropbox. That I can understand. However, they advise to free up space by deleting files, but 99% of my photos appear to be missing from Dropbox. I was thinking of upgrading, but I won't if they have lost my photos. Any ideas how I can get them back? Thanks.The owner of a shared folder deleted their account, which also deleted my files.
Hello everyone! One of my colleagues made a shared folder for me that I was supposed to put all my data in for my master's project. He recently moved away and deleted his Dropbox account. He meant to migrate all his data off the Dropbox before doing this but he missed my folder. He never transferred ownership to me or anything. He still has the email his account was associated with. I have Dropbox Basic, I believe he had Dropbox Basic as well. Now the folder is empty and all my files are gone. The only trace of them existing is in the "events" page where it shows when I uploaded and edited files. It has the file names but I can't do anything to access them. Looking in the "Activity" section of my folder I can see that on November 14th all of my files were deleted by the Dropbox Server at the same time. The files were locally on my computer as well, in the Dropbox folder that appears on the Windows 10 file explorer. They also were all deleted from there. Is there any way I can recover these files? I really, really would like to get them back as this data is important to my project and is irreplaceable. I had no idea that this could happen, and I did not expect the files to be deleted off my computer.Files in a folder have disappeared and they're not in the "Deleted files" page online.
Hello everyone. I'm part of a group that had a shared dropbox, we get dropbox Basic. My own folder in the group appeared in my "file explorer" on my windows 10 laptop, and contained important data. Now, the folder is suddenly empty. I never deleted anything from it. When I log on to the web app, I can see that there is nothing in my "deleted files" folder. My colleague who started the group recently left our company and I noticed under his name it says "Owner" and "Deleted." Did I lose access to the dropbox or something? I made a backup of my entire computer a couple months earlier. Would those files be stored on my computer locally by chance? I really need to get these files back. Thanks a bunch, Roberta

I had files in my Dropbox account with calendar plans for upcoming years. They were titled 2025 Travel Calendar, 2026 Travel Calendar, etc. But these seem to have been lost. I did not delete them. How can I recover these important Word documents?
All of my files have been deleted, can I recover them?
Ive had a dropbox account for over 20yrs, I logged in recently and noticed every single file is gone. Its like its a new account. I go back in my email and seen an email in Aug saying I'm a team admin, which my teams account is locked and all files will be deleted if not renewed. I had no idea my personal account was converted into a teams account. I dont even have own a business. Seems like theres no way to get in contact with anyone from dropbox, which is ridiculous. I need to find a way to get those files back. I have memories of my children that I cant replace. Can someone help me,
