Hi when managing Automations in Dropbox I constantly get the "Couldn't add automation to..." or "Something went wrong. Please try again." I'm not creating elaborate Automations with steps; just sorting into months or years. Has anyone had the same problem and found a reason and/or fix? I have an Android (Galaxy something). Using the box app, continuous capture is set to take small photos, but seems to still be taking full resolution 2.7-3.1 MB instead of something in the 300KB size. Is there some other phone setting I need to adjust to allow the Box App to take small photos?18Views0likes3CommentsFolder appears empty
Is there any way to get access to an expired link? I had gotten a disposable camera processed a year ago and have tried to access the Dropbox link from my emails, however, no matter the browser or device it always says the folder is empty even though it should have at least 25 photos in it. Has anyone experienced this issue before? The company I got the photos processed with have lost the film roll and wondering how I can gain access to these photosSolved39Views0likes4CommentsPicdrop style image review integrated with Dropbox.
We use our dropbox for getting image selects on large batches of images. We find out clients dislike using dropbox for this process (unless they already use DB but most dont) and have been pushing us to use picdrop (picdrop.com) instead as they find it much more user friendly. Annoyingly this means we're then copying our folders into picdrop and then selects back to dropbox. Id love to be able to have dropbox function like this. it would save us a lot of time and errors. Would this sore of quick thumbnails style image review be helpful for anyone else: photographers/filmmakers/moodboard people?56Views0likes2CommentsPhoto sync issue with new phone
Previously when I have upgraded to a new iPhone, I have not had problems with Dropbox remembering to sync with my Camera Uploads folder. I upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro yesterday and Dropbox is now uploading all of my photos elsewhere, although I do not know where they are going. The individual activity dropdown screen is also not working, so I am unable to know where they are being uploaded. I want to avoid them being duplicated and backed up elsewhere. How can I resolve this problem so I understand where my photos are being uploaded and can re-sync them with the original folder I've had for over 10 years where my photos and videos should be being backed up?14Views0likes1CommentHow to stop my camera photos from being backed up into Dropbox?
I have a desktop computer - HP - and in past I would put my camera scan disk into side of computer and the photos would be downloaded to my computer in my PICTURES folder; now - for some reason they are going into Dropbox which I do not want. Help. How to do I stop this and return to the way things were before?42Views0likes8CommentsCompressing the size or adjusting the dimensions of a file automatically
I see many new features we can use or schedule, for automatic editing of picture, some of them advanced ... but the most important and basic one is missing: RESIZE. We are affected by the crazy Apple's idea to make the picture bigger and bigger, every year bigger... I think it will be very appreciated from everyone to have this edit option in dropbox together with the others. I did something good, and advanced as I mentioned, but this one is missing. 🙋♂️45Views1like4CommentsCan I link a folder to another website gallery and export the folder structure from Dropbox?
I am helping my father in law get his collection of postcards into an online gallery. I am hoping to use the Wix website to create a database of the postcards and include the web URL that each can be found at. All of his postcards are in a Dropbox folder. The issue is that there are over 10,000 postcard images that need adding to the database collection. With this volume, it makes sense to use the Import facility available in Wix. So I need a way of: Getting the folder structure from Dropbox, including subfolders and files into a spreadsheet Making an entire Dropbox folder public including subfolders and files Constructing the web URL from the filename and folder info obtained in step 1 I believe I can do step one easily enough through Excel and using the "Get Data" from folder. I also believe it is easy enough to give public access to a particular folder. My issue is creating the individual web URLs that will be in the sub folders. I don't want to have to visit each f the 10,000 items and copy and paste the public URL for the image into a spreadsheet. Hopefully that makes sense, but if not please ask for clarification and I will do my best :)64Views0likes5CommentsAI-Powered Image Upscaling with GFAN and Hugging Face Models
I’d like to propose an exciting feature that could enhance Dropbox’s utility for managing and preserving visual media: integrating an AI-powered image upscaling tool using state-of-the-art models like GFAN and other high-quality options available on Hugging Face. Why This Feature is Valuable: Improved Image Quality: Many users store legacy photos and low-resolution images. This feature would allow users to enhance these images directly within Dropbox without requiring external tools. Convenience and Productivity: Built-in upscaling reduces the need to download, process, and re-upload images, saving time and effort. AI Integration: Leveraging GFAN and Hugging Face’s advanced models ensures exceptional upscaling quality while maintaining image authenticity. Proposed Features: One-Click Upscale: Add an option in the context menu to upscale selected images (e.g., "Enhance Image Quality"). Customizable Output: Allow users to select resolution goals (e.g., 2x, 4x) and control enhancements like noise reduction or color correction. Batch Processing: Include the ability to upscale multiple images or entire folders for bulk operations. Preview Functionality: Provide a side-by-side comparison of the original and enhanced image before confirming the upscale. Potential User Benefits: Preserve Memories: High-quality upscaling of old photos, screenshots, or scanned images for personal and professional use. Professional Appeal: Businesses and designers could use Dropbox for quick, high-quality image enhancements without relying on additional software. Competitive Edge: Dropbox would stand out as a storage service with unique value-added features. Thank you for considering this innovative addition. AI-powered image enhancements align with Dropbox’s commitment to convenience, innovation, and staying ahead of user needs.72Views1like1CommentAPI Upload .HEIC and convert to JPG
I am using the API to upload images and make them public. I get the public link back and embed in my application. ALL GOOD. Now I am looking to allow .HEIC uploads. I don't see anything in the API to cause the conversion. So, I put automation on my parent folder and that seems to create another duplicate photo converted to JPG. At that point I assume I have lost the public link and I have duplicate files. I am looking for any pointers here..... thanks in advance.484Views0likes7Comments
