Can’t edit Dropbox files in Excel anymore. Get an error about the file not being able to open.
I’ve always been able to open an Excel file in Dropbox to edit it. It was very simple…click the file, click Open In, choose Excel, make my edits, click “return to Dropbox”, refresh, and the file now had my edits. Now, however, when I click on Open In, choose Excel, I get a message that says “sorry, something went wrong and the file can’t be opened”. Super frustrating. I’ve signed out and back in, unlinked and relinked Excel Online on the actual Dropbox website, not the app. Have searched Dropbox help. I have a Microsoft 365 account, so I’ve also tried logging in and out of it. I’ve gone through setting on both applications, but no matter what I do, I no longer am able to edit this file, which means I have to upload and replace the file whenever I need to make changes. The file is shared, but I need to share it. Please help.
Microsoft Teams integration loses login connection every other day
The new Microsoft Teams integration is great; we can now open shared links directly on the Desktop via the native app, which is a great time saver. Only bug for the integration is that users have to login to Dropbox via Teams every other day. It loses the login authorization and the 'open file in app' function is then not available anymore. Users need to login everyday in to Dropbox via Teams to make it work again.

Can I automatically move the subfolders I've listed in an Excel file into a shared folder?
I have 10,000 subfolders with unique numeric names. I need to sift out 1000 of these subfolders into a shared folder. The list of these 1000 folders is in an Excel (or .csv) file. Is there a Dropbox automation that will move or copy the correct subfolders into the shared folder based on the Excel list?The Dropbox overlay icons are missing from our company-managed devices.
Hi, I am managing a few computers with Microsoft Intune. When I install Dropbox on managed computers, I always check that everything has synced and that it is on the latest stable Dropbox version. But about 6 months ago the Dropbox overlay icons started disappearing from explorer and the OneDrive icons started appearing instead. I Tried to change the position in the register so they are at the top, but it did not work. I Reinstalled Dropbox several times and with different versions. I have turned off OneDrive on the computers. So my question is, are there any known settings/policies in Intune that I may have forgotten to turn off/on? Or is there anything else that I may have missed?
Microsoft to create an option to set the default way for a document to open to the desktop app.
Now that Microsoft office co-authoring via desktop app has been integrated into dropbox, please implement an option to set the default way for a document to open to the desktop app. This offers a superior editing experience compared to the browser-based Microsoft web app, which does not always display formatting correctly. The ability to do this is already available when viewing the file on dropbox.com but we are currently unable to set as a default action.
I edit my Excel file, but others don't see my updates and a conflicted copy is generated instead.
Hi, my issue is. When iam in document, that is synced in desktop application. It will not make changes for other users and they cant see me in document, when we are in at the same time. And if i save the changes it will not change the document already present, but it creates duplicate with name 2024_01_OBĚDY_OBJEDNÁVKA_ZAPISUJTE SEM (Back Office - denní's conflicted copy 2024-11-21).xlsx I already checked permissions. And tried unsynchronized and again synchronize data.
