Hello. This just started occurring yesterday for one of my machines. I have files stored on Dropbox sync'd through filer explorer. When I open the file from dropbox (file explorer), excel quits responding. When I open the same file from my Desktop, Excel works as normal. Dropbox is listed as a connected service in Excel and there have been no issues before yesterday. I have updated office and performed a repair without luck. Any thoughts?44Views0likes7CommentsAccess Blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google policies.
Hi I am trying to open an Excel workbook via Dropbox on my S24 Ultra so that it will save directly to it. I go through the log in process for Dropbox in Excel and I'm getting a message saying "Access blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies". I've tried add Dropbox directly in the app and I get the same message. Please help!121Views0likes15CommentsI can't edit one of my Excel files anymore.
I am trying to work on an Excel document. I have been able to edit it in the past and can edit other Excel documents with no issues. This one (which I downloaded, worked on my laptop and re-uploaded the new version) will not let me edit it. That defeats the purpose. How can I correct this? It loads with the active taskbar, then shuts it off, and I cannot edit it. I don't see a way to attach a file here but I can edit other documents that open in Excel for windows/web so why not this one???Solved46Views0likes6CommentsOne user can't open/edit shared Excel files via her desktop app.
Have a user that started having issues with opening shared Excel files 3 days ago. Goes to shared folder clicks to open file it pops up on screen but never allows access. Has a blue circle a if file is still opening. I have uninstalled /reinstalled Dropbox and Office with no luck. I did find yesterday afternoon if I go to task manager and end Dropbox she can then access file. Was sent message this morning of having issue again. Same procedure in task manager and she can ope/edit files.73Views1like7CommentsThe Dropbox plug in for Outlook remains greyed out, and content doesn't appear.
I have a new laptop on Win11 and I added the Dropbox plug-in for Outlook. But it remains greyed out and the folder that should appear on the left folder navigation is missing. I installed the local app and that seems to be working fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, fully updated windows, the laptop, and the applications. Nothing seems to work.. I had wondered if it was due to my drop box being personal or if there was another issue. It was working correctly on my old system. My office shares and edits unlinked docs and I'm then responsible for accepting the edits and uploading the final doc to Dropbox. Recently, I've been unable to upload the doc with it keeping its formatting and fonts. It will be formatted correctly on my OS desktop but when I save it and upload it, the fonts in the preview are bold. When I then go to open it in word for the web, I get this error: If I choose to open it in reader view, it reverts back to the correct formatting. I have checked and the font is in my font book and have no clue what could be causing this. formatting on my desktop app Formatting after uploading and opening in preview Formatting after opening as read only in word for web Thanks in advance for any guidance.51Views0likes5CommentsDropbox for Outlook: Option to save selected types of images

Hi smart peolple I have installed Dropbox for Outlook(desktop) on Windows 11. We are getting lots of mails with photos from out staff when they are cleaning. I wish to use the app for saving those photos on Dropbox. However when saving photos to Dropbox, It will also save all the icons in peoples signature. That is often 5-6 tiny pictures with phones, FB, LinkedIn logos ect. Anyway to avoid those tiny icons/pictures? NB: I know I can remove them manually, but that takes way to long time.Solved95Views0likes7CommentsPage isn't loading when opening a file in "Excel for the web" on Safari
Hi - I'm hoping someone can help me. We've been using dropbox for a while and it's been going swimmingly, but in the recent few months there has been a change. When I open an excel document it used to open in 'Excel for the web' and was easily editable, but recently it's stopped loading properly. I'm trying to open it using Safari browser (my friend who is using Microsoft software isn't having the same issue), and now instead of the file loading it looks like this, but never loads: Can anyone help? I've restarted my computer and installed any updates. Many thanks.275Views0likes21CommentsExcel problemas
