The summer festival season may seem like months away, but musicians, listen up 🎤🎸: it’s time to act now! You might be wondering, how do I get my music into the ears of the festival promoter? 🎧🎟️ The answer lies in crafting an outstanding electronic press kit, or EPK ✨. Think of it as your golden ticket to festival gigs! Plus, Dropbox is the perfect platform to store and share all your or your band's material, ensuring you have everything at your fingertips to secure those coveted slots. Your EPK is not just a collection of documents; it’s your artist resume or CV, showcasing your unique talent, distinctive style, and unwavering professionalism in one polished package 🤩. To help you stand out from the crowd, here’s a checklist ✅ of what you need to include to get noticed. You can save or print this checklist (I made this for you by using Dropbox Paper): Now that you’ve gathered your materials, it’s time to organize them in Dropbox for a professional, shareable EPK. Create a Folder Name it something professional and clear, like “[YourArtistName]EPK.” Organize Files by Category Use subfolders for photos, music, videos, press, and bio materials. This makes it easy for promoters to find exactly what they need. Optimize File Names Use clear, professional file names like “[YourName]Bio.pdf” or “[SongTitle]LivePerformance.mp4. Share the Folder Link Set permissions to “view only” to ensure your files are secure. You can even customize the link name for an extra touch of professionalism. Now that you have the ultimate EPK checklist 🎶, it’s time to put it into action 🚀. Start building or refining your EPK today, store it securely on Dropbox, and share it with confidence 📢. This is your chance to stand out and land those gigs 🌟🎸. Do you have any tips or tricks for creating an EPK that gets noticed? Or maybe you’ve used Dropbox to share your EPK and it led to an amazing opportunity 🎉🎶? We’d love to hear your stories and advice 💙. Share them in the comments and inspire other artists to chase their dreams 🎵.14Views0likes0CommentsGive the exact time a comment was made on Replay
Comment timestamp shows "yesterday", but I need to know at precisely what time the comment was made. Sometimes I have comments made outside of Replay that I need to cross reference which comment was made last. There appears to be no way to know what time a comment was made.23Views0likes1CommentCustomize version numbers for Replay
We need a way to customize version numbers. If for example, the 1st version of a file uploaded to a Replay project folder is actually version 2, I would like Replay's version number to match my internal version number system. I generally have a reason for choosing not to upload version 1. The current system forces me to not have the option of skipping a version number. This is extremely limiting.15Views0likes1CommentCustom Timecode for the start of a Replay video
With Dropbox Replay, it would be great if the user could enter a custom timecode for the start of a video so that it can match the burned-in timecode. When I upload a clip from a film, it's essentially always going to be a time that IS NOT 00:00:00:00. The default for Replay seems to be zero, which makes cross referencing comments to the actual film timecode a bit of a hassle. Giving the user the ability to enter a custom timecode would solve this.11Views0likes1CommentDropbox Replay compare mode - add the ability to see comments on previous versions
Hello, When reviewing new versions on Compare Mode, there's no way (or I can't find a way) to see the comments from a previous versions to understand if the issues were addressed or not. As a workaround, I have to open two different windows set them side by side, one with current version and another with the previous version, I call it Manual Compare Mode. I don't think this makes any sense. Making the switch from Frame.IO this is something that is extremely useful that I really miss. Also, Compare Mode should be available on shared links as my clients also miss this feature, as it is extremely useful as already stated in many posts. Can Dropbox please add the ability to see previous versions comments in Compare Mode? Cheers!823Views6likes7CommentsDropbox Replay has been slow; it either doesn't load my videos or it throws errors.
Replay has been slow lately. Uploads from Dropbox, so not uploading really are failing and buggy. Playback is slow and laggy. I get the fail screen a lot and have to reload. Clients are having trouble accessing uploads in Replay. Is there a known issue? -M17Views0likes2CommentsUnable to make additional Replays off video on Dropbox
Hello all, I am avid and longtime Replay user. One of the ways I have leveraged Replay outside of standard video reviews, is to use it as a tool for generating briefs for creatives based on an existing video. Typically what I do, is find the video I wish to have a creative made from on our Dropbox, send it to Reply, rename the title to include [BRIEF] in it, and markup what needs to change in the video or what will be repurposed from the video, and send that to our motion artists to work off of. Well I have run into an issue today where we wanted to make 2 different creatives based off the same video. In the early days of Replay I would manually upload videos, so this was not really an issue before. These days, I have been leveraging the built-in functionality directly from Dropbox to create new Replays. So yesterday using: File > Open in > Dropbox Replay I made my Replay brief for the 1st creative to be made off this video. Today I tried using it again on the same original video: File > Open in > Dropbox Replay Instead of generating a new Replay, it sent me to the same Replay that was made yesterday from the video. So I tried using: Share > Send for review Same result, I get sent to the same Replay I made yesterday from this video. If this is not a bug, then I would like to request the ability to generate additional Replays from the same source file. Essentially the ability to generate a new copy. Thanks!106Views0likes5CommentsAdd detailed folder description to Dropbox Replay folders
It should be possible to add a description to folders within Dropbox Replay. This could be in the form of a text box at the top of the folder, where the admin can input a few lines of text, providing general info or workflow instructions which streamlines the collaboration process.40Views0likes3CommentsSubtitles / Captions Support in Replay
It would be super helpful for my team if .SRT subtitle files were supported in Dropbox Replay. Almost all of our projects use subtitles and it's hard to convince my team on Replay without some sort of subtitle/caption support. It's also important for accessibility standards. Lots of reasons to support captions. As a side note, Replay is great and I love the integration with DaVinci Resolve. You've all done some nice work here Dropbox!7.3KViews16likes10CommentsMove Folder or Files from one project to another
Hi I love this service! Its useful and easy to use! But I noticed its not possible to move Folder or Files from one project to another. I created a lot of files and folders, we already got some comments there and versions, and realized that its not in the correct project. Would be awesome and apriciated if you please add this feature asap. Thank you in advance!2.6KViews7likes6Comments
