Dropbox Paper
363 TopicsI've lost my Dropbox Paper documents, how can I get them back?
Hello. A few weeks ago I noticed that I lost all my Dropbox Paper documents. I have been using this application for years and I really like it. The documents contain important information for my work and it is a big problem for me. After a few days, some of the documents started to appear again, but it is only a small part. I can't find an official statement from Dropbox anywhere. I tried the usual procedures and those I found on the forums, but nothing helped. A small part of the documents came back, but the vast majority of them are gone. Can anyone please advise me or direct me? This is an unpaid service, I have not noticed any changes to the rules that could explain anything. Thank you287Views0likes29CommentsTitle shortcuts the Paper mobile phone app
Title shortcuts the Paper mobile phone app as in the webb applciation. This would allow for swiftly taping in information under a certain title on the go for later review. The shortcut list to titles would as deafult be hidden so it dosent take up space while writing/ reviewing the document. // PhilArch29Views0likes2CommentsMake Dropbox Paper screen-reader accessible
We’ve been keen users of Hackpad here in the UK Government for a few years now. We would like to migrate to Dropbox Paper, but it’s not currently accessible using a screen-reader. We have vision impaired users who rely on screen-readers and we have a responsibility to support them. We’ve looked at the code and the main issue appears to be that the application role is applied to the entire UI. This causes screen readers to stop intercepting keyboard commands and pass them back through to the browser instead. The upshot is that a screen reader is stripped of its usual shortcuts and navigational commands, making the app unusable unless scripting is used to provide the expected keyboard support. Collaboration tools like Paper can have a huge impact on the lives of people with access needs, but only if they're built to support the full range of technologies that people use.28KViews116likes34CommentsIssues with exporting a folder from Dropbox Paper
Hi all. This task is killing Me. I have been battling this for a long time. I am trying to export a folder of Dropbox paper, containing approx. 150 .paper documents. I want to export them to .docx. I mark them all and select "Export" and choose .docx format. This is where the frustration comes... Sometimes it is just stuck on the rainbow wizard with text "Waiting to start". Nothing ever happens. Other times i actually starts and may reach 100/150, but never progresses from that. Are there any other otions to export these to .docx? Any 3rd party applications? Thank you in advance21Views0likes2CommentsOffline edit option for the Dropbox Paper desktop app for MacOS
A major drawback in Dropbox Paper is not having the ability to edit while offline. It would be so beneficial to make it work offline, and then just sync/save when we're back online. It really limits the functionality when it's online-only. Thank you for your consideration.56Views0likes3CommentsHow to deal with new Dropbox Paper files after migration and locate them?
I am so confused right now. Prior to the upgrade, I had created folders within Dropbox paper so all of my documents are in those folders. I can see those folders within the "Migrated Paper Docs" folder in Dropbox. But when I open the Paper website or the app on my phone, I can't see any of those folders. In theory, I can search for any document that's in those folders, but I want to be able to browse through the folders. I also tried moving the folders from the Migrated folder into the "Paper Docs" folder but nothing happened and I still couldn't see or browse through those folders. On the Paper website, one can now create 'Sections' and move docs into Sections but I have no idea what the use of that is because after creating one, I can't see them within the App. I have no idea what I am supposed to do now to organize this mess. This upgrade should have been seamless to users.440Views2likes10CommentsIntegrating Dropbox Paper with Dropbox

Sad to say that there are numerous bugs in a once wonderful Paper, but perhaps the most annoying one is files no longer sorted based on when they were last open. I now get random files from years ago showing up in the list when I log in to the app or web, and have to search every time to find the most recent file I updated. It's extremely frustrating, and clear that the app is falling apart at an alarming rate.54Views0likes5CommentsSpring Clean your Desktop with Dropbox 🌸
