Hi All, A customer of us is currently using Dropbox Business with almost 2Tb of data in a 5Tb plan. 1,6Tb is in a team folder and is very important data. The customer doesn't have any team members anymore and is the only user at this moment. Therefore she want's to downgrade to Dropbox Plus. We wan't to have almost no downtime in working time and we specially don't want to loose any data. What is the best way to perform this downgrade? Move/copy data from the team folders to the personal folder in de online Dropbox portal? (user is admin) over the weekend? Cancel Dropbox Business plan After canceling business plan, upgrade to Dropbox Plus plan? Is there some automatic data-transfer from the Team-folders to the personal folder of the admin? It's not pretty clear for us and we don't want to loose data. Thanks for the responds. Jannes17Views0likes0CommentsDrobBox app won't open
I can no longer open the app on either of my two MacBooks (both running Sonoma 14.7.2), and my files are not syncing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app on both several times and restarted devices to no avail. Icon no longer appears in the menu bar and clicking on icon in Lauchpad or Finder does nothing. Any and all advice appreciated!15Views0likes0Comments"Dropbox needs to change permissions for the folder ~/Dropbox" message.
I've had Dropbox on this Mac for several years. Made no changes to folder structure. Every couple of weeks I see a pop-window that says Dropbox needs to change permissions for the folder ~/Dropbox and asks me to authenticate. I always press Cancel and it seems to work fine. But what is it trying to do??13Views0likes1CommentiPhone videos and photos not uploading to Dropbox. Only some files upload, and the others don't.
Hi, My Dropbox seems to not want to upload Apple iPhone Photos and Videos to my created files. I create photo and video content which I need to distribute to clients using my iPhone however the upload process is almost non existent. I have the Essentials Plan with 3TB storage. I select the maximum files for upload (400 a mix of HEIC iPhone photos and videos shot in 4K 60FPS and mainly video files) and hit upload. The preparation process/loading bar that comes up before being able to upload the files takes almost an hour if not longer. Once this is completed, only some of the 400 files make it to be uploaded so many are missing. Then when I hit upload it says it estimates 2+ days. I do the same process because for one client they get roughly 1000 pieces of content, so need to upload more files. Same process again, it takes forever. My next problem is that the files then sit ‘waiting to be uploaded’ with maybe two or three with a loading bar next to them. They then do not load, and the estimated time to upload says 2 weeks. I might be lucky to get 3/100 files uploaded after 5 hours, but I do not know where the other 900 files have gone (they aren’t anywhere to be found and aren’t in the queue waiting to be uploaded) and none of the other files sitting there will upload. I need this service to be efficient for my work so all the help or advice I can get to get this sorted would be appreciated. thank you. Hi all, I'm stuck between Apple customer support and the complete lack of customer support at Dropbox. I've had a Dropbox Basic account for years and needed to upgrade to Professional (monthly) to get additional features. I did this upgrade through the Apple App Store as I can not do it through Dropbox.com since I first set up the Basic account through the iOS app. However after several days of trying (and repeatedly trying the 'Restore purchases' feature in the Dropbox app account settings) I still am stuck with the Dropbox Basic subscription in my account. I've reached out to Apple for help several times but they are only able to cancel the subscription and refund the money. Do I have any other options other than delete the account and start again with a new account through Dropbox.com? (if this is the only option I will be deleting the account and leaving dropbox for good...) Really appreciate if anyone can help. I installed Dropbox 217.4.4417 on a new Mac with Sequoia 15.3 OS. After logging in it never managed to pass the indexing stage. I tried the following: - Logging out and logging back in; - Uninstalling and reinstalling the application (also using advanced reinstallation); - Fixing the hardlinks as suggested here [https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001014/dropbox-stuck-indexing-files/680930]; - Giving access to full hard disk; Nothing seems to fix the issue. I can see by monitoring Dropbox via Activity Monitor that it doesn't use almost any CPU/GPU and it does not use almost any network resources. Nevertheless, the app is still saying it is "indexing". Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!134Views0likes10CommentsHow do I disable Dropbox Capture and still save my screenshots to my account?
The title says it all. Dropbox capture is the worst "upgrade" I have ever encountered. It adds extra steps to my workflow and is utterly useless to me. I simply want my screen shots to save to my drop box screenshot directory How do I do this? I cannot find the actual directory to which the screen shots are saved to. I can change the screen shot destination easily from the command lineSolved46Views0likes2CommentsDropbox MacOS: app stuck with "Connecting Components" message on Sequoia.
