I joined a Dropbox team and now all my files are shared with them
I joined a professional team and it gave them access to all my personal folders and files. I didn’t realise that joining a team would do this, I assumed my folders would still only be accessible by me. I deleted the folders but when I tried to permanently delete the files it said I do not have permission. I do not have permission to delete my own folders and files????? Apparently it needs to be admin which is a colleague who I do not want to access the information.

Hi, I was just invited to join a dropbox team. The invite was sent to the email address that I use for my personal info, etc. I thought nothing of it as I just thought we'd have a shared folder or something, but it turned out it pulled all my stored dropbox info into this team. As a result, I quickly tried to delete all my personal files. It's moved them all into the trash, but it's saying I don't have permission to permanently delete them. It's also not allowing me to delete my personal account or leave the team. What are my options here, all I want to do is delete all my old info - but I don't seem to have that option with whatever I try to do?

I have seen loads of people having these kinds of issues with Dropbox since 3 years ago. Unfortunately this issue remained unsolved by dropbox until today. What happened was I joined our company Dropbox team a few months ago. Now they are changing the subscription, and one of my colleagues wanted to remove me from the Team. In doing so, she deleted my account due to misunderstanding of the website wordings. On my computer, my downloads, desktop, documents files are gone. I tried restoring my files from Apple time machine but failed. It says the upper files path does not exist. Some traces deleting the folder somehow broke the path to the folders. I am in desperate need of recovering my account.
How to extricate my folder from a Dropbox team?
HELP. I have had a Dropbox account for 15 years. Recently, a new client asked me to join their Dropbox as a member. Once I joined, my own personal files are now part of their account, in a separate folder. How to do move my files back to my own personal account? They are not linked... I seem to have somehow become a folder in their account. Can I create a new account with my same email and somehow move the entire folder to my new account? Or somehow reinstate my old personal account?

hello I have an account for several years and this morning i joined by mistake (thought if was a shared folder) another existing account so my own personnal account is terminated. This is a catastophy, could you please help me?
