13 TopicsPerformance issues with a Team account on the website
Hi everyone, This is my first post here, so I’ll start with a brief introduction. My team and I run a photo- and videography company based in Amsterdam. We rely heavily on Dropbox for uploading and previewing files in our daily workflow. For years, we used individual accounts, and while not perfect, things were manageable. However, earlier this year, we decided to upgrade to a Dropbox Team account (5 members), hoping for better collaboration and streamlined processes. Unfortunately, the experience has been anything but smooth. From day one, we noticed significant performance issues. The most critical problem is uploading files through the browser. Often, when we try to upload, nothing happens—the page stays stuck in a "loading" state. Refreshing either freezes everything or causes chaos: files start uploading randomly, sometimes double, and often to the wrong folder. We then have to wait for uploads to finish and manually move files to their intended location. This process is extremely time-consuming and frustrating. Previewing files (photos/videos) has also become a nightmare. Sometimes previews load instantly, but more often, we’re stuck refreshing repeatedly, waiting 30-60 seconds per file. It feels like a lottery whether a preview will work at all. These issues weren’t present when we used individual accounts, and it almost seems like Dropbox Team accounts operate on overloaded servers or an entirely different system. We've done all the standard troubleshooting and tested other storage providers to rule out hardware or internet issues—everything works fine except Dropbox. We're using top-tier hardware and the best internet speeds available in Amsterdam. To be clear, I’m not looking for "contact support" suggestions. We've already been down that road. Unfortunately, Dropbox support tends to focus on basic troubleshooting ("Have you tried restarting your computer?") rather than addressing the root cause. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues with Dropbox Team accounts? Are these known problems, or is it just us? Honestly, if this persists, we may need to reconsider our storage provider. We'd love to hear if others have found workarounds or solutions. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.20Views0likes2CommentsWorking and Personal space
I am using Dropbox personal account until recently i was added to a working group plan(5TB). The working Group plan has working stuff that everybody shared and accessed. But i am so concern about having my own personal space being shared with others. I've look through the FAQ said that my files can't be access by other team member but ADMIN can view/edit/access all my working files. Can i isolate my own personal working files ONLY with myself? If yes, how do i do it? Image:removed155Views0likes1CommentDropbox Unlimited plan has limited the storage to 135 max.
I am part of the Dropbox Unlimited business plan. Looks like the Dropbox has limited the storage to 135 max. Is the storage space divided equally among all users or it is upto the admin of the group to divide the total storage? We all share the subscription costs equally but I am confused about the storage share of each member.891Views0likes1CommentPlans to Support Volume License and O365 Business Basic Users?
Are there any plans to expand support to Office Volume License Users and O365 Business Basic users? We have a number of lab machines that are volume licensed and a number of freelances that are assigned O365 Basic accounts that would like to take advantage of this feature set.4.1KViews0likes2CommentsSupport for dropbox free teams ends March 31, 2022

I wouldn't risk losing everything 😓...I ask so that we can prepare in time and in the right way for the passage thanks to those who will be able to answer me and Have a nice day SvevaSolved7.8KViews0likes31CommentsFolders not visible to Admins
We have outsourced the Team Admin role on our business account to a 3rd party. We want to see the totality of folders and subfolders etc. that have been created in our Dropbox Business Standard account. Our Team Admin says they can't see all root level folders unless they have been given specific permission to view them. Is that correct? Is there a way for an Admin to see all folders that have been created without having to assign them read permissions to every folder? How can we assign permissions to folders we can't see and don't know if they exist?Solved5.4KViews0likes8CommentsZapier Team Spaces
Not having the ability to use our Zapier anymore because of being upgraded to Team Spaces is a huge failure IMHO on Dropbox's end. Please DropBox update your DropBox integration on Zapier to allow us to select if we want to move files to a Team Space folder. All our business tools we were using with DropBox are now broken.7.1KViews5likes13CommentsHelp! Dropbox has moved critical team folders inside my personal space
I restarted a mac today and as Dropbox was reopening, got a cryptic message from Dropbox saying 'Do you want to move two files/folders into the Team space?'. Not knowing what It was referring to, I clicked 'no'. -> It's now moved two critical top-level team company folders into my personal space • I tried to simply drag them back, but the root level is locked on OSX finder. • I considered using Terminal to move the folders back, but thought hacking Dropbox in any way (esp at root level) could cause unknown behaviour/data loss, and this is huge amounts of company data which isn't backed up another way (something we're working on). For now, I've quit Dropbox on this machine to stop it syncing. On other machines and on web the company folders remain in the correct place, for now. Q. How to undo whatever it did, on this mac, so I can resume using Dropbox without it doing this operation? TIA - Jon1.3KViews2likes1CommentCan we have an option to create a group of groups?
Create groups that are comprised of other groups. Example: The group All Employees could be composed of groups US Employees and Intl Employees. So if I add an employee to US Employees, they are logically added to All Employees.663Views0likes3Comments
