Whenever the owner shares a folder/ file in dropbox they should receive a delivery notification that the folder/ file has been shared with the receiver detailing the date/ time/ receiver details (name and account/ email), similar to the one a receiver gets from dropbox portal that a file/ folder has been shared by xxxx dropbox account. We all make mistakes or sometimes it could be some glitch in the devices, a folder is shared accidently and as you do not receive any notifications so such detail can easily be missed as the sender is oblivious of the activity/ mistake and it can go unnoticed. When the receiver accepts and joins the folder than its easy to check who has access but in cases where the receiver accepts and immediately removes themselves in that case its practically impossible to track if the shared folder was ever accessed by the receiver. This also can be deemed as a security concern, as the sender is completely oblivious of the shared folder status and there is no proof that the folder was actually shared with the receiver. The activity log and events page do reflect the sharing of the folder but do not provide details with who the folder/ file was shared. However I am part of a family plan and the credit card used to pay for this is my partners, which has not expired. Is this a bug? Dear Dropbox Support, I would like to remove my card from my account billing information. I have just cancelled my free trial as I no longer need to use the product, but I cannot see the option to remove the card I linked to my account. I am not a fan of cloud storage. That said, I have Dropbox installed on all my computers with different sync settings based on hard drive space, etc. However, in this case I have a 4TB hard drive so space is not an issue. My sync settings are to treat files as Available Offline. Save hard drive space automatically is toggled off. I have a few folders with images for my online store in them. When opening the folder in my image browser (Faststone) I'm having to wait for Dropbox to download images before they can be viewed. I'm not sure where to look to fix this, but I want my files downloaded to the appropriate computers, based on sync settings when they are uploaded. My workflow is as follows: Take raw photos with my phone or camera. Upload them to a specific folder on Dropbox. Open that folder on my computer to view and edit images. Hello all, So I upgraded my plan to the business plan, I have tried to use the branding option so the videos I share to customers will show my business logo and background image. I have uploaded both the logo and background images and they show up on the previews but when you go to the shared link it just shows as the usual plain dropbox view. I am unable to update my email address because the link from Drop Box does not arrive. I have checked the Spam folders. I have tested that the email address receives from other senders. Drop Box sent me several other mails congratulating me on joining this Support Forum. Which would be hilarious if it weren't that I am only here because I cannot update my email address. When I upload files to Dropbox, the order of the words in the file names keep being changed. For instance, John Smith.jpg becomes Smith John.jpg and 12 John Smith.jpg becomes 12 Smith John.jpg. The order of the words keeps changing. I tried to prevent it by inserting hyphens between words, but it doesn't work. They still move around. I suspect maybe my first name always moves at the back but I am not sure. Often I am requested to title files in a certain way and Dropbox just changes the names no matter how I title them. Did latest Dropbox update v219.4.4463 changed something in screenshot settings? Usually after taking screenshot I had this screenshot floating window in corner of screen, which created a dropbox link after this window closed. But a day or two ago this window changed to more advanced one (with 3 additional buttons) and option to copy image or link - since I din't like behavior I changed settings so that it created dropbox link but not show window. Now I would like to change this behavior again, but unable to find Screenshots settings in preferences. ChatGPT says that changing screenshot settings, including saving location (Private or Work account) should be under Settings > Backups > Screenshots, but it is not there and I'm unable to find one. I signed up and mistakenly created my account choosing the option to not share my email address. Dropbox created a cryptic default email ID instead, but now I'm not able to update it to my real email address because it tries to send the verification information to the default cryptic email ID, which I don't have access to this default email ID to read the verification information.
