How can I stop the Dropbox Transfer window from staying on top of every other window?
This has become a huge annoyance and didn't used to be like this and I don't understand why Dropbox even has permission to do something like this on my computer. Leave me alone and upload my transfer in the background. Yes, I can minimize the window, but I had a nice system where I just let the window go behind currently in use windows and then it would pop up when ready. Hello, I just now noticed that as a paid user, everytime we send a client of ours a dropbox transfer link with our own branding, it upsells our own clients! With some pop up box about some log in into dropbox. I now that it has a "download only" on the bottom but this is not reseonable. We are users that pay dropbox for a service, dont upsell our own clients. I kindly ask the removal of this feature asap.
Does Dropbox file transfer work faster than direct upload?
1/ Does Dropbox file transfer work faster than uploading the files to the cloud (via desktop or directly on web browser)? 2/ Or is the only reason you'd use Dropbox transfer is so you don't have to use any of your online storage account limit? 3/ Does the file transfer with the same exact internet transfer at the same speed wether or you use "dropbox transfer" or "uploading to dropbox"?
There is a Dropbox Transfer on my account that I didn't send
I got an email that I sent a file transfer. I did not create this transfer nor the file. I got an email that I had recieved a file transfer from me. Again I did not send. No one else has access to my account. I did a "security check" and changed my password just in case. I am concerned that it looks like someone used my account to create a transfer
I try to create a transfer from my desktop app, but it gets stuck at 0%.
I have not Ben able to create a transfer on my pc running windows 11 for months. When I right click on the folder then click send copy the create transfer window pops up as usual but when I click it the Dropbox logo just spins and spins and the progress stays at 0%. I am a photographer and this is how I send my photos. I can't get any response from Dropbox and renewal is coming up on 12.22.24 and needless to say if I can't get this resolved I will not be renewing. I know I'm just one little customer and won't make a bit of difference to Dropbox but I won't throw away my money on a product I can't use or a business or service with 0 support!Why is Dropbox Transfer suddenly slower when showing the link?
Guys, just made a Dropbox Transfer today, and saw that cool new box animation. and the updated UI. All good so far. After I did a couple of Transfers I noticed it's MUCH slower than before. On synced files it usually took 2-3 seconds to show me the link. Now it seems like it has to play the whole box animation before showing the link and it's taking like 10-15 seconds. Any thoughts?
Better Sharing & Better Branding
Dropbox is wonderful -- I've paid for professional for ten years -- but it could be immensely better.. You will make more money if you do these two related things:) (1) The branding feature is way too basic. The options seem like they're from 1995. It would be wonderful if we had more options and more customization. Specifically, if we could create different branding for different customers, it would be amazing. (I use Dropbox to share pictures and videos with my customers. I want to put THEIR branding on these files and galleries, NOT MINE.) (2) The experience of RECEIVING shared files is HORRIBLE, for the people who RECEIVE the links or transfers. Even using the current branding options, Dropbox still puts its OWN branding on the page – this is confusing for the receiver. It's messy and ugly, and it takes up too much screen space. They think they have to create a Dropbox account to receive the files. You are trying to get sales, through me, a paying customer -- that is **bleep**ty. Please take all your branding and sales prompts off these pages, for us paying customers. Also, browsing through pictures on shared links is a slow and not-intuitive process. It would be amazing if you could make it function like[removed per the Dropbox Community Guidelines]. These companies create beautiul galleries, and customers can easily create lists of their favorite pictures. You could actually steal all their business if you did this. I am 100% certain your customers would love these features:)
