What exactly do you mean you cannot download it to the WD drive?

    We need more info here.

I got message to say my Dropbox was nearly full

I decided to download Dropbox content to an external WD 2 TB device to make space in dropbox

I fiddled a bit and the download took place. the original still has the same content as is now on the "storage" unit.

Can I delete the original to make space now?

I'm sorry, but I am lost. Therefore it is hard to give more info, but I will try. It seems that all of my folders are empty? I see the folders marked as compressed, but just do not understand how to decompress them. I think that is why I see them as empty? Can anybody give me some guidance?

Pie1935, if you successfully downloaded your files to the drive and you can open them properly from there, you can go ahead and delete the original files you have on your Dropbox account to save up space.

baustinjr, if you right click on your folders, do you see any option to unzip them perhaps?
