Audio files skip after 10 seconds when I preview them.
I have some audio files saved in DB- when l go to listen to some, they seem to have developed a 'skip' after about 10 seconds. The timer at the bottom stops at 10 seconds, the music jumps to a di...

Hi Megan.
It is an audio file that l have saved in a folder in my Account.
The two audio files in question are 405 KB and 2.2 MB in size, not the biggest by any stretch.
Both skip at 10 seconds.
When viewed on Dropbox through the browzer when you can see the preview across the bottom, the 'black line' only stretches to the 10 seconds as opposed to the full time.
My point was both of these have always been perfect up to last week which no changes to the account?
Cheers.

Interesting, thanks for letting me know, Rob!
And if you download them from Dropbox locally to the device, are you able to preview them without an issue?

Hey Rob8585!
If you try to use these steps, in order to download the files from your Dropbox account to your device and then preview them there, do they preview like they normally would, or skip after 10 seconds?

I have this exact issue. I have an iPhone. It does the same thing whether I play them via browser or in the app.
I have an iPhone. If I downloaded the video it works but that takes a lot of space to download then I have to delete afterward.

Hey @Kezball, thanks for posting here!
Would you be able to share your OS, along with the Dropbox version that you're using on your end?
When did this start happening, and does this happen with all of your files?
Let me know more!
- Kezball3 months agoNew member | Level 2I’m using the Dropbox App on iOS 390.2.2 and I have an iPhone 14 iOS 17.05.1
I do get these video files initially via Facebook messenger and then play the files in browser or on the app.
Same thing happens both ways I open it.
Started happening last week.
Does not happen with all the files the ones which come via Messenger.

Hey @Kezball, thanks for the info!
And would you mind clarifying the file type, please?
Also, when you say you receive them via Messenger are you referring to a Dropbox shared link that you receive there, or straight through the Messenger app?
