Using automatic backup but my hard drive is full

I've been trying to make files online only but this is putting more files on my hard drive. now my hard drive is full and it won't sync at all. please help.

    Could you please clarify your device's exact OS version and the status and version of the desktop app as showing in your menu bar/system tray?
