Storage Space

Hi,
I'm an assistant trying to upload videos on my computer to the Dropbox account of the person I work for. He has a Dropbox account with 2 TB, I have a free account with 2 GB.
At first, he gave me his login info, and I could not get in. It said I had an invalid email or login. I know this is the correct info because I use it on his computer and it works. Next, he tried contacting Live Support. They told him to share the folder with me that I'm supposed to drop the videos into. But when I log into my account, and click on the folder, it only lets me upload 2TBs of files total and then has told me I'm out of space. I don't get this. The folder was created in his account with 2TB which he is nowhere near using even 1/4 of that storage.
How we can work this out? Any suggestions? He wants to use Dropbox, but I'm all for finding another platform if something this simple can't be done.
Thank you,
Jill

It's important to know that sharing credentials like that is against the Dropbox terms and could result in the account being suspended. Accounts are meant for an individual and should not be shared in that way.

When you're a member of a shared folder you're still limited to the space available in your own account.

You're not uploading to a folder in his account. You're uploading to a shared folder in your own account, and that content syncs with the copy of the folder in his account.
How we can work this out?
If he has a Professional, Essentials or Business account, ask him to send you a File Request instead. You'll be able to upload directly to his account without affecting your own. If he has a Plus or Family account, you can still use a File Request but each one will still have a 2GB limit.

Thank you for explaining all that. Now it makes sense.
He does have a Business account and will send me a File Request.
Appreciate the help.
