Hi Jay,
yes, I have the Dropbox app installed. In the email, when I want to add a file stored in Dropbox as an attachment, the Dropbox opens and shows all the folders and files. However, when I choose a file by touching it, it doesn’t get attached in the email. The iOS version being used by me is 12.0.1.
Thanks for your time.

I have the new iPad Pro and experienced the same problem mentioned above. I solved as follows:
In mail, create new message, click attachment, in the “Browse Locations” window that pops up to the left, in the top right corner, click edit. Dropbox shows as an option to select in the Browse Location folder. It was turned off. When I selected “on”, my Dropbox folders loaded and became available to attach to my email.

Hi rangsridhar, annettecam, are you both using the official Gmail app on iOS, or the default iOS Mail app?
