We have several meetings a month that use a custom meeting template for agenda and notes. It would be really nice to have the set up automatically in dropbox paper and be able to use them as templates.
I agree this would be a well-welcomed function. Just now I was trying to create a duplicate of a project list I already created but couldn't find any such feature available. Template and custom template options would be a great addition.
You can copy the format and paste it in a new document. This is what I have done. It works and keeps my format! Just a thought
Thanks for the info. I think the idea of duplicating folders is the real need here. For example if you have a folder that you use as a template on projects, being able to simply duplicate that folder and all docs inside of it would be a huge time saver.
Ahoy fellow Community members & happy July to all! :trident_emblem:
I’m Jane& I’d like to keep you all up-to-date with the latest news on Paper Templates. As most of you may have already discovered, templates in Paper have been available for some time & hopefully using them in your creative Projects has helped you get things done more quickly & efficiently.
We’ve recently discussed how your team can benefit from the new feature, thus saving some time & effort by creating your own ready-mades, though I’d like to take an additional minute of your time to give you all a quick heads-up on the recent changes.
Without further ado, here are the newest features you may try:
#1. Templates now show up in search results and you can create a doc from a template directly from the search result, as below!
#2. Templates can now be deleted.
#3. Also, templates can now be added to folders . From the template editor, click the"..." (💬) > Add to folder.
#4. Last but not least, you can now add a Placeholder text, which is greyed-out text that helps the user understand what type of content will go into a section. To create placeholder content: while in the template editor, select text that you want to convert into placeholder text and press the first icon on the left in the formatting toolbar. Once done, your text will appear similarly to the one I created below(in the right column):
That’s all from me. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day & keep these :light_bulb:Creative Ideas coming!
