Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Hi I am trying to open an excel spread sheet on my phone using Office 365 and the file is stored on Dropbox but it won't let me open it as I keep getting the error Account Limit Reached for Dropbox. I have one my phone signed into Dropbox and I only noticed this today.
I can't seem to contact Dropbox to fix this issue. I've tried everything and still I can't alter any files I have on Dropbox. What else can I do?
Hi again, @Redhotpaddy! I just wanted to double check; did you follow Rich’s suggestion here and made sure you’re signed into the same accounts on both Dropbox and Microsoft Excel on your phone?
The error you’re getting implies indeed that you could be logged in to another account, so I’d like us to rule that out before troubleshooting further.

Do you notice this when using this particular Excel file, or others too @Redhotpaddy?
If you try to open the file using our website, are you able to do so?

Would you mind clarifying your device's OS, along with the version of the Dropbox app that you have installed there @Redhotpaddy?
Also, what is your Dropbox subscription at the moment?

Hey @Redhotpaddy, can you try -if you haven't already- uninstall and then re-install Office 365 to check if that makes any difference?
