Moving a shared folder, only for me
Hi
I have a music folder for sharing/collaboration with a buddy.
It's located in the root dropbox folder.
Now I want to move it to a subfolder, but only for my computer.
Will moving it in my dropbox have effect on where it's located in his dropbox?
I want to prevent any changes on his setup.
Thanks
When you say 'on my desktop', do you mean files that are not located in the Dropbox folder?
Currently, only files and folders that are physically located in the Dropbox folder (aside from the Dropbox Backup folders) would sync to other devices.

Hey Makrelsalat, thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community!
To get to the chase, no, moving a shared folder on your end won't be affecting its location on your collaborators' devices.
