Hello,
I somehow saved some folders to online only... but I cannot see them on my desktop app.
When I click on them in dropbox online it doesn't give me the option to put them back on my desktop.
Please help. I am not to savvy with this stuff.
Valerie
Hi @vacmmc, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you let us know how you saved these folders as online-only?
Did you perhaps use the selective sync feature, which would remove folders on your computer but keep them on the site?
This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the additional information @vacmmc - much appreciated.
May I ask if you're running the desktop app at the moment?
If so, could you take a look at your menu bar/system tray and let us know the app's status and version?

You didn't set them as online-only. You told Dropbox not to sync them to your computer. Open Dropbox Preferences, select the Sync tab and click the Modify button under the Selective Sync section. Check the folders that you want to sync to your computer.
Note that this is not the same as the Online-only feature. To control the online/offline state of your files or folders, once they're visible on your local drive, right click them and you can select Make online-only or Make available offline, but the folders must first be checked in Selective Sync.
You can access the desktop app's preferences through the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar and the online settings by clicking on your account's picture or initials in the upper right corner of your screen @vacmmc

thank you so much.
I have moved a folder to online only by right clicking on it and selecting online only in the dropbox options. My drive is completely red on my computer which is why I moved the folder to online only. It is all music. After doing this my drive space did not change at all. Grrrr.... I wish I was more savvy but can you me with this as well?
Did you give the Dropbox desktop app enough time to sync your changes @vacmmc?
Is it 'up to date' in your system tray/menu bar or still syncing?
