Dropbox not updating

My Dropbox is not syncing. On my Macbook Pro (running on Ventura 13.4.1c), the same number of files has been (2748) has been in the process of being updated for several days. I am running the most recent version of Dropbox, v178.4.4811. Nothing on my computer is syncing with my IOS devices (iPhones and iPad). What is causing this, and how can I fix it?

Hey cant_back_up, sorry to hear about your syncing issue.

Can you please send us a screenshot of the app's exact status as shown in your menu bar at the moment?

Has it been stuck on the exact same number of files for a while now?

    Keep me posted please!

The number of files it's uploading has actually increased over the past week.

      7/19/2023 now updating 2756 files

      7/21/2023 now updating 2762 files

The Dropbox help desk told me to uncheck many folders from syncing. I did that; it didn't work. Then a manager told me to sign out of Dropbox and sign in again. The app then gives me this disconcerting message:

Did you reach out to our support team about this?

If so, can you please give us the ticker number for the communication?
