Can you confirm you’ve movies over to iCloud and have no issues with Logic syncing and that the recents menu works?
I’m in the process of moving to iCloud+. I have a bit of prep to do, i.e. download all my Dropbox files etc., which will take a bit of time. But I’ve done a test in Logic and I can confirm that ‘recent items’ definitely does work with iCloud+

- I did the switch to iCloud but switched back to Dropbox. Man iCloud was **bleep**ty, haha. Sharing is to much of a hassle or I couldn’t understand it. My solution, I made a shortcut in the default logic project folder to my personal project folder (Which is in Dropbox) so I have quick access to my projects.
iCloud+ is not perfect for all needs for sure. I want a cloud service mainly for off-site backup rather than sharing files. Dropbox had been great for me as backup but issues like 'recent items' not showing up in Logic Pro X - which I use every day - are a real dealbreaker.
I've been looking at iCloud+, and I hear what your saying. It has its issues, e.g. 'Desktop and Documents' backup can't be configured separately, but at least the functionality of Logic isn't compromised and it's more future-proof for Mac users. Dropbox seems to have had some issues since the change to Apple silicon.
Can you explain your shortcut/ alias solution?

I'm back to the drawing board. I've tried iCloud+ and it's not great if you need to sync between different computers. You can't customise which folders to sync and the whole system seems too broad and lacking in features I take for granted in Dropbox. You can't even pause sync. I'm hoping Dropbox will find a fix for 'recent items' not showing up in Logic soon 🙏🏼
- Same here! It’s been so annoying not to be able to use recent items in logic since Dropbox’s update. Hopefully a fix comes soon.
This also goes for Final Cut. I’m no longer able to open or save library files in Dropbox folders.
