Cannot establish a secure connection after dropbox update to 111.4.472
After the dropbox app (Window 10) updates itself to the latest 111.4.472 version, I'm getting this 'Cannot establish a secure connection'.
I've checked my time on my laptop, router. It's fine. I've...

I've just received some news that I'd like to share with you all here!
It appears that ESET has fixed the problem that was causing this error.
For anyone running ESET on their device, please update to the most recent version of ESET to update to the software.
Once you've done this, you should be fine to revert back to the latest stable version of the Dropbox desktop app. You can install this from here.
Otherwise, you can just allow the app to auto-update to the latest stable when a new version is released.
Let me know how it goes!

This is happening to me as well. System clock is correct, yet DropBox is using a SSL time sync cannot connect message. This is the first time this has happened to me in many years of DropBox usage.

Same here unfortunately, with the desktop app.
System clock is correct, I disabled my firewall and antivirus, updated my OS to the latest W10 update, uninstalled and installed again Dropbox... but still nothing.
It says "Unable to establish a secure connection".
Dropbox website works correctly instead.
How can we solve that?

I too have this problem - for the first time in 12 years of use.
Since Saturday Dec. 5th, I get the error immediately from the PC desktop app when it's trying to connect. I too have tried most everything with no luck. I can access Dropbox online BUT ALSO ON THE OTHER 2 DEVICES (Notebooks) I HAVE IT ON! There, no problems!
Is my PC perhaps the 'parent' device? But then why no difficulties on other devices?
What to do? And don't say to chat as it's useless...you can't explain anything to a computer!
BTW I only have 'basic' Dropbox. Is upgrading nedded to resolve?
Thanks

The installed desktop version got broken by an update last friday.
Try the beta mentioned here. Worked for me.

Thanks, Nick, but will installing the Beta version on the problem PC then have undesired effects on the other 2 devices it's working perfectly on? In short, I'm a bit nervous about it!

I have the exact same problem. I've cxhecked the firewall settings, time/date are set correctly, my folder is on the same drive as my operating sys and the same error message. I'm running ESET on a windows 10 64 bit sys with all software up to date. I hope they find a fix soon
