I've split your post off into its own thread as it didn't relate to the topic you originally replied on.
There's no longer an easy way to locate shared folders. Dropbox, in their infinite wisdom and desire to continue removing features we rely on, have changed the Sharing page to only show shared folders that you can add to your account.
You'll need to browse your folder hierarchy and locate the shared folder yourself. The folder icon for a shared folder will have people on it. Also, if you're looking at your folders on the Dropbox website, the Members column will indicate folders that have other members in them.

For Dropbox it should not be a problem to get back that overview which they had previously in their system...
