1. I think Dash should find all installed apps without the user have to add each folder manually.
2. I tried to add the folder manually, but Dash still don't list the apps.

Is the Windows Search service running and is that folder's location being indexed by Windows? As Barbara mentioned, Dash uses the Windows Search Index. If the location that you're expecting to find in Dash isn't being indexed by Windows, Dash likely won't know about it.

Windows Search and the indexing is running. The Windows Search shows all Apps.
I also have added the named folder explicitly.

It's wonky.
I searched for "Microsoft Word".
0 results.
Then I checked my start menu and realized that there is no "Microsoft Word". There is a program called just simply "Word" inside my "Microsoft Office" folder.
So when I searched "word", that was the only thing that came up. The MS program. Why did I not get more results for the single word, "word"?
Weird.
This is my third post and may be my last because this program is borderline bloatware with some spyware mixed in. Plus no Firefox support (I know it's too hard for developers to write for FF these days. Poor guys/gals.)
You know what helps find local programs faster? Windows search. And I can get to it with keyboard shortcuts! Win > Tab. Simple.

Hi joch6n! Do you mind if we send you an email to establish a Support ticket? We'd like to take a deeper look into why the applications are not being listed by Dash.
Regards,
Barbara
