Hi joch6n - - thanks for reaching out!
It sounds like you may need to add a searchable folder for Dropbox Dash to locate these applications.Dropbox Dash will automatically search your system folders like your “Desktop,” “Downloads,” and “Documents” folders. To add more searchable folders to Dropbox Dash:
- Open the Dropbox Dash desktop app.
- Click the gear icon in the upper right.
- Click Search folders.
- Click + Add new folder.
- Locate the folder you’d like to add, then click Open.
Also, please be aware of the following for directory search:
- To limit your search to local directories and find content based on the title, use the keyword "fi" followed by your search term in the search bar. This will restrict the search results to local files only.
- Dash uses Windows Search Index for Windows and Spotlight Search for Mac. Enabling these search features is necessary to conduct local file searches.
- To access files and folders on Mac, you must add Dash as an approved application in your system settings

1. I think Dash should find all installed apps without the user have to add each folder manually.
2. I tried to add the folder manually, but Dash still don't list the apps.

Is the Windows Search service running and is that folder's location being indexed by Windows? As Barbara mentioned, Dash uses the Windows Search Index. If the location that you're expecting to find in Dash isn't being indexed by Windows, Dash likely won't know about it.
