Publish to social media from Dropbox!
Hello!
My name is Amanda. My team is building a feature to help users publish videos to their final destination — whether that’s social media, YouTube, your website, or elsewhere. We hear this...

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to pop in here to wish you all a very Happy New Year and provide you with a quick update on the Publish feature.
As some of you will have noticed, the ability to publish content directly to your social media accounts is not currently available with the Dropbox app. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone this feature for the time being and we no longer have an "opt-in" option for this.
While the work has been postponed, we understand that this feature was extremely valuable for some of you and we are still hopeful that work will continue on it at some point in the future. Right now, we can not say when this will happen, but we will update this thread as soon as we know any more to ensure that you all are the very first to know.
In the meantime, we would love to hear your thoughts on how the Publish feature worked when it was available. Any information provided here could potentially help the team responsible for working on it in the future.
Thanks for your continued patience and have a great day!
Graham

Hi sudanbukra,
Thanks for your post, I hope you are well. Unfortunately, we've had to postpone work on this feature so I can confirm it has nothing to do with changing your primary email address as it is no longer available for anyone.
We are hoping that work can be picked up on this at some point in the future and any feedback from people who were using it while it was available could be really helpful for the team responsible for the work if that happens. If there was anything you'd like to share with us about your experiences using it I'd be happy to pass it along to the team.
Thanks again, and have a great day!

Hey Graham
We run a tiny news outfit over satellite and our hot data lives inside dropbox. Most of our editing takes place by the production team inside dropbox. We normally download those gigabytes to desktop and then re-upload them to the social media (Youtube, Facebook, etc etc).
The feature of publishing directly to Facebook saved us countless hours.
Happy to discuss more if you need more details.

I concur, this is an essential feature, especially for uploading 3 to 20 GB video files to YouTube without re-downloading it again.
Maybe there is a smarter solution, IDK. I'm sure drive allows you to do it, but I wouldn't like to move my client exports archive there...
Please make it happen!

Thanks again, and have a great day.
