My email was hacked and a Dropbox account with 2FA created under my email

My email was hacked.

They setup a new dropbox account with my email address and set up a two-step verification process. 

They added all my contacts to dropbox and are attempting to send and re-send a file in this fake dropbox account. 

I now have control of my email, but can't login because of the two-step verification process. 

Can I delete the dropbox account completely?

    Since this is regarding a very sensitive, account security related issue, I would suggest reaching out to our support team directly.

     

    You can do that, by opening a private browsing/incognito window and going to this page.

     

    Choose your issue type, type in an email address you can access, fill out the rest of the form and submit your request.

     

    Let us know once you have your ticket number.
