My email account was hacked and says I invited someone to view a document
My email account was hacked with a request that I invited the recipient to view a pdf "CONFIDENTIAL" document on Dropbox.
Is my Dropbox password connected to my Email account.

A Dropbox account is always associated with an email address, so if someone was able to gain access to the email account associated with your Dropbox, they can easily gain access to it.
Have you regained access to your email account?
If so, I would suggest changing your Dropbox password and deleting any unknown devices from your security page.
This should secure your Dropbox account, but if you still have any questions, let us know.
