Hi there Jose H.8 - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you have a look at the app's preferences under the Backups tab and let me know if you see your Documents and Downloads folders listed there?
Do you see them on your Backups page online?
Also, what is your computer's exact OS version and the status and version of the Dropbox desktop app installed there as shown in your menu bar?
Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

I see that the particular desktop folders seem to be backed up to Dropbox. What's the backup status exactly, when you look at the "Mac" folder here?
Also, what do you see when you hover over the Dropbox icon (in your menu bar) with your mouse?
