how long does dropbox app keep sync history of files?
How long does the dropbox app keep the sync history of files?
Do they last forever, or are they purged at intervals? Is there a setting to change how many items are shown in the sync history?
- Hi @jay, thanks for the response. I’m not asking to purge my file history. I’m asking how long files show in the sync history. Do they stay there forever or does the app clean that up? Would the same sync history show up on a new Mac if I switch? I rely on my sync history a lot so I just want to know if what I’m seeing will one day be removed or changed

Is there a particular reason you'd like to purge the sync history on your account? Currently, there isn't a method to manually clear it.
Regarding the number of files syncing, the Dropbox desktop application syncs one file at a time, and there isn't an option to increase this.

The app would remove the record of files from the sync history list after a certain time has passed, or the total number of items in the list itself. You won't have a permanent list of your synced files there.
